My Little Island Flower (Larry W. Jones 06/21/2005) (song#3801)

She’s my little island flower
Polynesia’s gift she is to me
More lovely every passing hour
A lass who smiles so sweetly

Her velvet skin is oh, so tan
Kissed by the tropic sun, it’s plain
She’s my queen of island sand
My sweet song of love’s refrain

Just a little island flower
Cooled by the tropic breeze
We’ll spend another pleasant hour
Beneath these tall palm trees

There within a restful bower
Listening to the whis’pring breeze
I promised to my little island flower
My love to her eternally

For she’s my little island flower
A lovely island flower for me

A Song In My Heart For You (Larry W. Jones 06/21/2005) (song#3802)

For every island tuberose that ever grew
There flows a song in my heart for you

For every bird of paradise that ever flew
There lies a song in my heart for you

And every time a full moon comes around
Or an island tune with that special sound
You can assume that this is true
There’s a song in my heart for you

For every rainbow painted in the blue
You’ll know there’s a song in my heart for you

And every time a full moon comes around
Or an island tune with that special sound
You can assume that this is true
There’s a song in my heart for you

For every rainbow painted in the blue
You’ll know there’s a song in my heart for you
There’s always a song in my heart for you

I Flew To The Moon (Larry W. Jones 06/21/2005) (song#3803)

Did you ever fly to the moon
Say goodbye to reality too soon
It happened to me last night

Did you ever catch a moonbeam
Or match your lips to a June dream
It happened to me last night

Yes, I met a wahine in the sand
I forget if there was even an island band
But I know that when I beheld all of her charms
Something compelled me to hold her in my arms
And that soon my heart flew to the moon
Yes, I flew to the moon last night

Yes, I met a wahine in the sand
I forget if there was even an island band
But I know that when I beheld all of her charms
Something compelled me to hold her in my arms
And that soon my heart flew to the moon
Yes, I flew to the moon last night
I flew to the moon last night

Say Aloha Every Day (Larry W. Jones 06/21/2005) (song#3804)

When you fall in love
To be sure that love will stay
A simple cure I’m thinking of
Just say Aloha every day

One thing I know is pitiful
Is to throw true love away
Tell her that she’s beautiful
And say Aloha every day

Of your love, don’t make her guess of it
That mistake would make a mess of it
A rose in bloom needs tender care
So, don’t assume of the splendor there

Just like an island in the stream
Love is its anchor, come what may
Let her know that she’s your dream
And say Aloha every day

A rose in bloom needs tender care
So, don’t assume of the splendor there

Just like an island in the stream
Love is its anchor, come what may
Let her know that she’s your dream
And say Aloha every day
Just say Aloha every day

Jake Shimabukuro (Larry W. Jones 06/21/2005) (song#3805)

Jake Shimabukuro
Plays on the ukulele
Over where tradewinds blow
He can really play that thing
Really make it sing
Jake is a swingin’ island hero

Jake Shimabukuro
Digs that tropical jive
He makes the islands come alive
He can play every note
Every ukulele player ever wrote
Give Jake Shimabukuro a big hi-five

Jake jazzes up his ukulele
He has fingers to control it
All of his fans extol it
And when he brings Bach and Handel in
He can make it sound like a mandolin
Jake Shimabukuro is an island fit

When Jake’s ukulele is on parade
In Waikiki, it never is a fluke
The music is a quick island serenade
When Jake is picking on his favorite uke
Jake Shimabukuro in an ukulele jam
Is the best ukulele player what am

Jake, Jake, Jake Shimabukuro
Over where the tradewinds blow

First Time I Saw You (Larry W. Jones 06/22/2005) (song#3806)

Was the first time I saw you the last
Or will I be the first to see you again
There was something about you
When you strolled on past
I can’t live without you, it’s plain
Will you be my first dream to come true
Or was the first time I saw you the last

No, I can’t live without you
Life would be such a bore
I’d much rather be seen with you
As you go strolling on the shore
Was the first time I saw you the last
I know I’m not the first you’ve entranced
Or is this new romance
Is this new romance a thing of the past

Will you be my first dream to come true
Or was the first time I saw you the last

No, I can’t live without you
Life would be such a bore
I’d much rather be seen with you
As you go strolling on the shore
Was the first time I saw you the last
I know I’m not the first you’ve entranced
Or is this new romance
Is this new romance a thing of the past

When You’re In Love (Larry W. Jones 06/28/2005) (song#3807)

There are tropical islands in the sunshine
Waiting for you when you’re in love
There are tropical islands in the sunshine
Draped with leis of rainbows up above

And when twilight falls, the islands call
And whether your finance is rich or small
Romance is that which one and all know of

There are tropical islands in the sunshine
Waiting for you when you’re in love

When two beating hearts are beating as one
Aloha greetings the meeting of two are
On a tropical island under the sun
Under love’s wonder is where you are

There are tropical islands in the sunshine
Waiting for you when you’re in love
There are tropical islands in the sunshine
Draped with leis of rainbows up above

And when twilight falls, the islands call
And whether your finance is rich or small
Romance is that which one and all know of

There are tropical islands in the sunshine
Waiting for you when you’re in love
When you’re in love
Waiting for you when you’re in love

Thrill Of Islands Afar (Larry W. Jones 06/29/2005) (song#3808)
We met on the shore where the tradewinds blow
Time seemed to stand still under tropic stars
My dreams came true where the tradewinds blow
As my heartstrings felt the thrill of islands afar

The music was warm and tender
Tiki lights were burning low
Her lips I kissed in surrender
How bright would the light of love grow

Steel guitars were playing
We danced until nearly dawn
Then Aloha ‘oe I heard her saying
Goodbye, and she was really gone

Tonight on a shore where the tradewinds blow
Where tiki lights burn low with steel guitars
I dream once more where the tradewinds blow
As my heartstrings feel the thrill of islands afar

Tonight on a shore where the tradewinds blow
Where tiki lights burn low with steel guitars
I dream once more where the tradewinds blow
As my heartstrings feel the thrill of islands afar

Love Is A Bird Of Paradise (Larry W. Jones 06/29/2005) (song#3809)

Love is a bird of paradise
That spread its wings and flew away
Love is a word that’s filled with lies
That said Aloha ‘oe to me today

Tonight my heart is crying
It’s really feeling bad
Tradewinds are sadly sighing
Over a love that I once had

The moon is such a lovely thing
Still shining upon a golden shore
I gave to her a golden ring
That doesn’t mean a thing anymore

Love is a bird of paradise
That spread its wings and flew away
Love is a word that’s filled with lies
That said Aloha ‘oe to me today

My true love’s heart was mine alone
A diamond to behold
My true love’s heart turned into stone
A treasure that turned cold

Tonight my heart is crying
It’s really feeling bad
Tradewinds are sadly sighing
Over a love that I once had

Well, I had a lot of future plans
Too bad none turned out right
My true love loves another man
And my heart, it cries tonight

Love is a bird of paradise
That spread its wings and flew away
Love is a word that’s filled with lies
That said Aloha ‘oe to me today

Your Parasol (Larry W. Jones 06/29/2005) (song#3810)

I will be your parasol
To shade you in the sand
If you will be my one and all
And let me be your island man

I will be your surfing pal
To spend with you some time
If you will be my surfer gal
And tell me you’ll be mine

I will be your steel guitar
If you will play on my heart strings
We could play beneath the stars
And watch our love take wings

I will be your tall palm tree
When you need a little shade
If you indeed fall in love with me
And be my ku’u ipo island maid

I will be your steel guitar
If you will play on my heart strings
We could play beneath the stars
And watch our love take wings

I will be your tall palm tree
When you need a little shade
If you indeed fall in love with me
And be my ku’u ipo island maid

When Tiki Lights Are Burning Low (Larry W. Jones 07/14/2005) (song#3811)

Island music sweet and mellow
This night’s a treat, I know
I like to think that I’m your fellow
When tiki lights are burning low

You and I can stroll together
Where breakers roll in slow
We’ll be birds of a feather
When tiki lights are burning low

Two hearts in love revealing
Magic of the island’s charms
There’s no way of concealing
How I enjoy you in my arms

Words of love so tender
Whispered as the tradewinds blow
Your lips to mine surrender
When tiki lights are burning low

Two hearts in love revealing
Magic of the island’s charms
There’s no way of concealing
How I enjoy you in my arms

Words of love so tender
Whispered as the tradewinds blow
Your lips to mine surrender
When tiki lights are burning low

Where Paradise Rises From The Sea (Larry W. Jones 07/14/2005) (song#3812)

On the sunny isle of Hawaii
Where paradise rises from the sea
There I left my love in Hawaii
When we said Aloha ‘oe tenderly

Green mountains still rise high
Where paradise rises from the sea
Tears still fall from my eyes
As she still fills my memory

Though we’re so far apart
We’ll be together eternally
For she still has my heart
Where paradise rises from the sea

On the sunny isle of Hawaii
Where paradise rises from the sea
There I left my love in Hawaii
When we said Aloha ‘oe tenderly

Though we’re so far apart
We’ll be together eternally
For she still has my heart
Where paradise rises from the sea

Time And The Ocean (Larry W. Jones 07/14/2005) (song#3813)

Time and the ocean
Will someday return my love to me
I will wait here with devotion
On the shore by the ocean
That took my love from me

Here by the ocean we fell in love
She swore that she would be my bride
But time and the ocean
Saw my dreams sail with the tide

For so long I’ve been so lonely
Still I keep the tiki fire burning bright
For time and the ocean only
Can make my dreams still turn out right

Time and the ocean
How slowly they seem to amble by
But I will wait here with devotion
On the shore by the ocean
Til time brings her reply
Or the oceans all run dry

Here by the ocean we fell in love
She swore that she would be my bride
But time and the ocean
Saw my dreams sail with the tide

Time and the ocean
How slowly they seem to amble by
But I will wait here with devotion
On the shore by the ocean
Til time brings her reply
Or the oceans all run dry

That’s What Aloha Kisses Do (Larry W. Jones 07/14/2005) (song#3814)

You’ve got me talking to palm trees
Singing by the sea of blue
Climbing up a rainbow
Where sea breezes blow
That’s what Aloha kisses do

You’ve got me charmed in the daytime
Every time that I’m with you
You keep me warmed in the nighttime
Instead of feeling blue
That’s what Aloha kisses do

Before I heard the islands call
I never thought that I would fall
I just wanted to be a sailor man
Real love wasn’t in my plan

You’ve got me in your casting net
Your Aloha kisses are lasting yet
I’m like a fish out of the sea
My wish is to love you eternally
You’ve got my promise to be true
That’s what Aloha kisses do

Before I heard the islands call
I never thought that I would fall
I just wanted to be a sailor man
Real love wasn’t in my plan

You’ve got me in your casting net
Your Aloha kisses are lasting yet
I’m like a fish out of the sea
My wish is to love you eternally
You’ve got my promise to be true
That’s what Aloha kisses do

My Lehua Memories (Larry W. Jones 07/16/2005) (song#3815)

My Lehua memories
Thoughts of tropic nights and you
On a golden shore
Our love was bright and new
Stars twinkled from above
Love was ours to explore
Moonlight was soothing balm
Through palm trees on the shore

Sweet lehua blossoms there
By Manoa’s valley stream
Made for placing in your hair
Fulfilled my every dream
Now that we’re far apart
And my dreams are history
I’ll find forever in my heart
My Lehua memories

Now that we’re far apart
And my dreams are history
I’ll find forever in my heart
My Lehua memories

Pua O Ka Lokelani (Larry W. Jones 07/17/2005) (song#3816)

‘Auhea wale ana ‘oe
e ka pua o ka lokelani
Kou nani pili ‘ano
Makani ‘olu ‘olu na aniani
Wau ha’ina kou wehi
O ku’u makakehau
No ka mea eia nei
Pono’î pilialoha pau hapa

Now pay attention
O blossom of the rose
Your beauty is as
The fair wind that blows
I sing of your adornment
Of my heart
For you own my love
In every part

‘Auhea wale ana ‘oe
e ka pua o ka lokelani
Ha’ina ia mai ka puana la mau loa
This ends my mele
May the refrain be told forevermore
Of pua o ka lokelani
My blossom as fair as the ‘olu ‘olu wind

Heart Of Waikiki (Larry W. Jones 07/21/2005) (song#3817)

Every palm tree on the shore
Every frond on every tree
Waves Aloha as before
When I stroll in Waikiki

Pandanus trees in Kapiolani Park
Every leaf that I know of
Seems to whisper some remark
As if it knows why I’m in love

I’m in love with Waikiki
So in love with Waikiki
All those tropic sights and sounds
Surround me with jubilee

You see, I was born in Waikiki
For me, there’s only Waikiki
My heart has ukulele strings
No wonder that it wants to sing
Sing about Waikiki
Sing about the tropic sights
Sing along with an island song
Sing about the tropic nights
To Waikiki my heart will ever belong
For my heart is a part of her song

Sing about the tropic sights
Sing along with an island song
Sing about the tropic nights
To Waikiki my heart will ever belong
For my heart is a part of her song

Ask The Tradewind (Larry W. Jones 07/21/2005) (song#3818)

On every shore there rolls an ocean
Ask the tradewind that knows
Island lore sets love in motion
Ask the tradewind that knows

Dreams may wander, in the blue yonder
If there’s no chance to come true
As dreams of romance I lonely ponder
It seems they lead to only you

My heart’s in fright when you’re out of sight
Anyone will tell you that it shows
Sweetheart, if you don’t believe me
Ask the tradewind that knows

When a sigh is heard in paradise
Ask the tradewind that knows
It’s love’s reply, words for you and I
Where the tradewind softly blows

My heart’s in fright when you’re out of sight
Anyone will tell you that it shows
Sweetheart, if you don’t believe me
Ask the tradewind that knows

When a sigh is heard in paradise
Ask the tradewind that knows
It’s love’s reply, words for you and I
Where the tradewind softly blows

On That Island Afternoon (Larry W. Jones 07/23/2005) (song#3819)

There were birds of paradise
Lehua blossoms red in hue
And a fire red tropic sky
Filled with rainbows too
When we fell in love on that island afternoon

I still think of her kiss
Under the swaying coco tree
Her laughter I still miss
For it seems to follow me
She was my love on that island afternoon

But a dream must have an end
If that dream cannot come true
Now forever I must spend
With a mem’ry I once knew

There were birds of paradise
Lehua blossoms red in hue
And a fire red tropic sky
Filed with rainbows too
When we fell in love on that island afternoon

No more birds of paradise
No Lehua blossoms red in hue
No fire red tropic skies
Filled with rainbows too

Once I called her mine
Once upon a time
When we fell in love on that island afternoon
When we fell in love on that island afternoon

As My Heart Answers Yes (Larry W. Jones 07/23/2005) (song#3820)

Someday when the morning is breakin’
Someday my dream will awaken
Paradise that is golden I’ll capture
Skies filled with love’s olden rapture

Someday I’ll hear love’s gentle refrain
That instrumental echo of Aloha again
Feel the touch of my love’s caress
Appeal so much as my heart answers yes

Yearning heart, burning heart
Leaves of the Autumn fall here and die
They all float away in the stream
As time goes by
But the islands call to awaken my dream
Birds of paradise are mating
While I am here ever waiting
As time goes by

Someday when the morning is breakin’
Someday my dream will awaken
Paradise that is golden I’ll capture
Skies filled with love’s olden rapture

Someday I’ll hear love’s gentle refrain
That instrumental echo of Aloha again
Feel the touch of my love’s caress
Appeal so much as my heart answers yes
As my heart answers yes

Southern Star (Larry W. Jones 07/24/2005) (song#3821)

Southern star, my wish is now upon you
Accomplish from afar before the dawn’s due
Southern star, make my wish come true

Southern star, twinkle bright in your splendor
From where you are, invite her surrender
Southern star, make my wish come true

Please help her in her heart to find
To prefer that she’ll be forever mine
Southern star, make my wish come true

Oh Southern star, you know how I adore her
Please shine love’s light forever for her
And for my wish of love so true

Please help her in her heart to find
To prefer that she’ll be forever mine
Southern star, make my wish come true

Oh Southern star, you know how I adore her
Please shine love’s light forever for her
And for my wish of love so true

The Polynesian Moon Will Remember (Larry W. Jones 07/24/2005) (song#3822)

The polynesian moon will remember
Our Aloha ‘oe goodbye
The polynesian moon will remember
Love’s ember the same as I

An island rose as a token
A kiss that was straight from paradise
The polynesian moon will remember
A promise that was broken
And so will I

Now the man in the moon and I
Know that we’re not to blame
But in the tradewinds of paradise
The islands still call out your name

In time I may forget you
If time should last a million years
But the polynesian moon will remember
Love’s ember and all of my tears

An island rose as a token
A kiss that was straight from paradise
The polynesian moon will remember
A promise that was broken
And so will I

Tomorrow’s Finally Here (Larry W. Jones 07/24/2005) (song#3823)

Yesterday you said that you love me
Yesterday you said that you care
And that tomorrow we’d be married
Well, today, tomorrow’s finally here

Today, tomorrow’s finally here
Today, tomorrow’s finally here
Yesterday you said that you love me
And that tomorrow we’d be married
Well, today, tomorrow’s finally here

For so long I waited for the dawning
Of the day when you’d be by my side
Tomorrow finally came this morning
For today you’ll be my lovely bride

Today’s the day my daydream
Of yesterday comes true at last
Drifting in some far away stream
Now no longer lost in oceans vast

Today, tomorrow’s finally here
Today, tomorrow’s finally here
Yesterday you said that you love me
And that tomorrow we’d be married
Well, today, tomorrow’s finally here

For so long I waited for the dawning
Of the day when you’d be by my side
Tomorrow finally came this morning
For today you’ll be my lovely bride

Lost In Love Am I (Larry W. Jones 07/24/2005) (song#3824)

What such excitement you are to the eyes
What such a scene to see
I wonder if you know how much you mean to me
Strolling along in paradise
Lost in love am I

Every time I look at you
I fall in love
It’s true, islands call for love
I lose control inside when you stroll by
Lost in love am I

I’ve been searching high and low
On every island where tradewinds blow
I don’t want you to stroll away
For that would cause my soul to pay

And in the lonely, lonely night
A dream might come to break my heart
And I’d still have to find a way
To remind me to awake my heart
For I’d be blue my whole life through
Lost in love am I, lost in love with you

Lost in love am I, lost in love with you

It Must Have Been You (Larry W. Jones 07/24/2005) (song#3825)

It might have been the island music
Or the paradise skies of blue
Maybe it was the place I was in
Oh baby, it must have been you
It must have been you

This dream of mine wasn’t doing well
It seemed that time never let love dwell
But then I saw you along the shore
Among the throng in the dress you wore

And suddenly this dream of mine
Came alive in overtime
Oh baby, it must have been you
It must have been you

This dream of mine is living now
I taste the wine that it’s giving now
Somehow this island in it’s design
Has called in musical overtures
And now this island dream of mine
As long as time endures
Baby this dream of mine is yours

And suddenly this dream of mine
Came alive in overtime
Oh baby, it must have been you
It must have been you

On The Shores Of Evermore (Larry W. Jones 07/29/2005) (song#3826)

This is not just for part of the time
My heart is yours for eternity
This is not just for a little while
My smile means years of fraternity
This is love from paradise
On the shores of evermore

This is not just mid pacific madness
An island fling, a passing gladness
This is love from paradise
It was manifest from the time we met
Dreams came to rest I’ll not forget
You’ll not regret or hear goodbyes
This is love from paradise
On the shores of evermore

This is not just for part of the time
My heart is yours for eternity
This is not just for a little while
My smile means years of fraternity

It was manifest from the time we met
Dreams came to rest I’ll not forget
You’ll not regret or hear goodbyes
This is love from paradise
On the shores of evermore

That Old Island Song (Larry W. Jones 07/29/2005) (song#3827)

Well, that old island song rings a bell
I heard it played on an old familiar shore
It’s the same one, I can tell
That melody has the same old score

It’s strange how an old familiar scene
Can rearrange an old forgotten dream
A dream of love there by the sea
Where I once had a dream
That you would care and love eternally

I find that I still know every line
Where breezes blow, you once were mine
We sang together on that shore
That we’d be together evermore

Well, that old island song rings a bell
I heard it played on an old familiar shore
It’s the same one, I can tell
That melody has the same old score

Play that old island song once more
And when I hear it play again
I’ll remember the flower that you wore
And the island dream that might have been

I find that I still know every line
Where breezes blow, you once were mine
We sang together on that shore
That we’d be together evermore
Play that old island song one more time

Light Your Tiki Torch (Larry W. Jones 07/29/2005) (song#3828)

Light your tiki torch, turn up the flame
I’ll meet you on the porch even if it rains
Your kisses I’ve been missin’
Your arms that I find bliss in
This lad is glad to be sailin’ home again

Light your tiki torch there by the sea
So I can see all the love you have for me
This bold ship’s in forward motion
The old skip knows about my devotion
To the prettiest girl in the whole island chain

You’ll be feelin’ my heart’s every beat
While I’m stealin’ your kisses warm and sweet
So, light your tiki torch when we meet
Cause I’m sailing home o’er the bounding main

Light your tiki torch, turn up the flame
I’ll meet you on the porch even if it rains
Your kisses I’ve been missin’
Your arms that I find bliss in
This lad is glad to be sailin’ home again

Light your tiki torch there by the sea
So I can see all the love you have for me
This bold ship’s in forward motion
The old skip knows about my devotion
To the prettiest girl in the whole island chain

Light your tiki torch there by the sea
So I can see all the love you have for me
This bold ship’s in forward motion
The old skip knows about my devotion
To the prettiest girl in the whole island chain

Someone Stole The Maui Chimes (Larry W. Jones 07/30/2005) (song#3829)

Someone in tropic climes stole the Maui chimes
Someone in tropic climes stole the Maui chimes
Someone in tropic climes stole the Maui chimes
Now, how we gonna get married

Some hapa haole stole the Maui chimes
Some hapa haole stole the Maui chimes
Someone know ’em but no show ’em
Someone in tropic climes stole the Maui chimes

We’ve got the pineapple, fish, poi and rice
Here we don’t need shoes or haole boy’s advice
We’ve got the wowee and the music that rhymes
But who’s got the Maui chimes

Someone in tropic climes stole the Maui chimes
Someone in tropic climes stole the Maui chimes
Someone in tropic climes stole the Maui chimes
Now, how we gonna get married

We paid the kumu hula with all the moola
But he can’t serenade us with Maui chimes

I guess I’ll have to find me a fine detective
To see if he can see through our objective
He’ll arrest anyone sellin’ Maui chimes
I’m tellin’ you he’ll be spendin’ time
Someone in tropic climes stole the Maui chimes

We’ve got the pineapple, fish, poi and rice
Here we don’t need shoes or haole boy’s advice
We’ve got the wowee and the music that rhymes
But who’s got the Maui chimes

We’re in our prime in our wedding plans
But running out of time for the island band
We’ve got the pineapple, fish, poi and rice
Boy, some Maui chimes would sure be nice

Someone in tropic climes stole the Maui chimes
Someone in tropic climes stole the Maui chimes
Someone in tropic climes stole the Maui chimes
Now, how we gonna get married

Love Under Tiki Lights (Larry W. Jones 07/31/2005) (song#3830)

Love under tiki lights
Tradewinds whisper in the night
Of dreams that have come true

Love under tiki lights
Guitar rhythms sounding right
With my arms around you

We don’t really need that big old moon
Up there shining bright
But since it’s there, we’ll gladly share
Love under tiki lights tonight

Love under tiki lights
By the sea just seems so right
Here in Hawaii blue

We don’t really need those stars above
Up there twinkling bright
But you have an inkling what I’m thinking of
Love under tiki lights tonight

Love under tiki lights
Love under tiki lights
Tradewinds whisper in the night
Of dreams that have come true

If I Had A Song (Larry W. Jones 07/31/2005) (song#3831)

If I had a song
No journey would be too long
To keep me from where I belong
If I had a song

If I had a song
I’d sing of an island in the stream
That would bring a man a dream
If I had a song

I’ll never be a king, the kind that rules the world
But my heart can sing of finding an island girl

If I had a song
I’d sing of a lovely work of art
That would bring to me her heart
If I had a song

I’ll never be a king, the kind that rules the world
But my heart can sing of finding an island girl

If I had a song
I’d sing of a lovely work of art
That would bring to me her heart
If I had a song

This Might Be The Island (Larry W. Jones 07/31/2005) (song#3832)

This might be the island
And you might be the dream
Only heaven knows
And maybe the tradewind that blows
If things are as they seem

This might be the island
And you might be the door
To the love that I’ve been dreaming of
On a lovely tropic shore

Look at all those stars above
Like a book we could have read
Pages from an ageless love
Written with words we could have said

This might be the island
And you might feel it too
The appeal of a tropic land
Where two can love so true

Look at all those stars above
Like a book we could have read
Pages from an ageless love
Written with words we could have said

This might be the island
And you might feel it too
The appeal of a tropic land
Where two can love so true

This might be the island
Where two can love so true

Somewhere In An Ocean Of Blue (Larry W. Jones 07/31/2005) (song#3833)

You on my mind
Arms intertwined
What a lovely view

When islands call
Can’t help but fall
Into a dream come true

A moment so rare
No time to spare
Caring for you as I do

This one love affair
Two only can share
Somewhere in an ocean of blue

A moment so rare
No time to spare
Caring for you as I do

This one love affair
Two only can share
Somewhere in an ocean of blue

Honolulu Hello (Larry W. Jones 07/31/2005) (song#3834)

Hello, aloha, hello
I’ve got a funny smile on my face
Cause nothing can replace
Honolulu, the gathering place
The place that I call home

Hello, aloha, hello
I’ve sailed the oceans far and near
To no avail, cause paradise is here
Dear old Honolulu
The place that I call home

Honolulu, hello
Honolulu, hello
Honolulu, hello
Aloha to my island home

Hello, aloha, hello
One thing certainly is clear
There’s someone here that I hold dear
In dear old Honolulu
From which I’ll no more roam

Hello, aloha, hello
I feel your warm sand under my feet
I’ll meet someone who’ll make my dreams complete

Honolulu, hello
Honolulu, hello
Honolulu, hello
Aloha to my island home

Peaceful Ocean (Larry W. Jones 08/01/2005) (song#3835)

Everybody knows it as the Pacific ocean
Surrounding islands we call paradise
It’s where dreams are set in motion
Sometimes right before your eyes

Let us dream on a starry night
Yes, my true love, just you and I
On the island while the moon is bright
As the peaceful ocean goes flowing by

Everybody just stroll on by
Stroll on by and let us be
Let’s see what love can supply
Just the ocean, you and me

Everything is peaceful by the ocean
Nobody knows like you and I
The tradewind blows love’s potion
As the peaceful ocean goes flowing by

Everybody knows it as the Pacific ocean
Surrounding islands we call paradise
It’s where dreams are set in motion
Sometimes right before your eyes

Let us dream on a starry night
Yes, my true love, just you and I
On the island while the moon is bright
As the peaceful ocean goes flowing by

On the island while the moon is bright
As the peaceful ocean goes flowing by

Turn Up That Tropic Heat (Larry W. Jones 08/01/2005) (song#3836)

Turn up that tropic heat
And melt your cares away
It’s so neat, that island spell
It’s paradise, as they say

Belt out a song and before long
You’ll hear it sung at Waikiki shell
Turn up that tropic heat
And melt your cares away

Life seems like trouble, you have said
So, go where the tradewind blows
Go take a hike up Diamond Head
See Manoa Valley full of rainbows

Turn up that tropic heat
And melt your cares away
Don’t you think it’s kinda neat
There where palm trees sway

It’s sweet to stroll in your bare feet
At Waikiki down by the bay
Turn up that tropic heat
And melt your cares away

Turn up that tropic heat
And melt your cares away

I Remember The Island (Larry W. Jones 08/01/2005) (song#3837)

I remember the island
And the tradewinds softly sighing
And the shade beneath those tall palm trees

I remember Kamehameha friends
And school days swiftly flying
And that little cottage still calling to me

The golden tropic moon
Over Honolulu city
It knows my heart is there
Now shines upon me with pity
As I roam the oceans everywhere

I remember my first island love
I remember the last time I kissed her
I remember my old island home
To be home, oh, how I wish that I were

The golden tropic moon
Over Honolulu city
It knows my heart is there
Now shines upon me with pity
As I roam the oceans everywhere

I remember my first island love
I remember the last time I kissed her
I remember my old island home
My home sweet island home

Shores Of Life (Larry W. Jones 08/01/2005) (song#3838)

We’ll stroll the shores of life
Hand in hand every day
And I will love you as my wife
No matter, come what may

The shores of life may be
Under skies of blue or grey
But you’ll have my love, you see
No matter, come what may

All I ask is your true love
That I will ask of you only
As we stroll neath stars above
Never will we two be lonely

For even as the seasons turn
As years come and go their way
My love for you will ever burn
No matter, come what may

All I ask is your true love
That I will ask of you only
As we stroll neath stars above
Never will we two be lonely

For even as the seasons turn
As years come and go their way
My love for you will ever burn
No matter, come what may

We’ll stroll the shores of life
No matter, come what may

Less Stress Where Breezes Blow (Larry W. Jones 08/01/2005) (song#3839)

I was tired of the mainland anyway
Tired of overwork and little pay
I guess you’ve spent all of my dough
Well, there’s less stress where breezes blow

I’ve already learned to say Aloha
And play on my guitar kiho’alu
I guess this might be my last hurrah
Sippin’ on a tall Hawaii Blue

Dancin’ at the luau, eatin’ kalua pig
All those things where good times flow
You broke my heart just like a broken twig
Well, there’s less stress where breezes blow

Things in some ways are still the same
My love for you still has a way to go
It’s a shame you had to change your name
Well, there’s less stress where breezes blow

Dancin’ at the luau, eatin’ kalua pig
All those things where good times flow
You broke my heart just like a broken twig
Well, there’s less stress where breezes blow

Dancin’ at the luau, eatin’ kalua pig
All those things where good times flow
You broke my heart just like a broken twig
Well, there’s less stress where breezes blow

What Am I To Do (Larry W. Jones 08/01/2005) (song#3840)

What am I to do
Now that I’m sitting all alone
And what are you to do
If your love too has flown

What am I to do
If your new love proves untrue
Here is what I’ll do
I’ll be waiting here for you

What am I to do
But sit here and wait and sigh
Hoping you’ll return, my dear
So I can hold you near
On this lonely isle of paradise

What am I to do
Until you return again
You know that I’ll be blue
Until time comes to its end

What am I to do
But sit here and wait and sigh
Hoping you’ll return, my dear
So I can hold you near
On this lonely isle of paradise

What am I to do
On this lonely isle of paradise

Your Footprints In The Sand (Larry W. Jones 08/01/2005) (song#3841)

Your footprints in the sand
Your footprints in the sand

Why did you say Aloha ‘oe to me
Now I’m so lonely, can’t you see
And as I feel teardrops once more
I see your footprints in the sand along the shore

Your footprints in the sand
Strolling away from me
Your footprints in the sand
Keep saying Aloha ‘oe
Your footprints in the sand
Keep saying Aloha ‘oe

Now you know that you will be
A haunting memory to me
And as I feel teardrops once more
I see your footprints in the sand along the shore

Why did you say Aloha ‘oe to me
Now I’m so lonely, can’t you see
And as I feel teardrops once more
I see your footprints in the sand along the shore

Your footprints in the sand
Your footprints in the sand
Your footprints in the sand
Keep saying Aloha ‘oe
Aloha ‘oe

By The Bay Of Bora Bora (Larry W. Jones 08/01/2005) (song#3842)

By the bay of Bora Bora
I stroll all alone
(I stroll all alone)
Palm trees sway as I wander by the bay
And I wonder where my love has flown
(I wonder where my love has flown)

Birds of paradise in pandanus trees
Know that I care and that I love her
With their sweet songs on the breeze
They sing my love song from above her
(Sing my love song from above her)

So, by the bay of Bora Bora
I stroll all alone
(I stroll all alone)
And I wonder if my love will come along

I know that my heart will be haunted
For her love that my whole life I’ve wanted

By the bay of Bora Bora
I stroll all alone
(I stroll all alone)
Palm trees sway as I wander by the bay
And I wonder where my love has flown
(I wonder where my love has flown)

By the bay of Bora Bora
(By the bay of Bora Bora)
I wonder where my love has flown

Since You Came To Me (Larry W. Jones 08/01/2005) (song#3843)

Since you came to me
With nothing but true love
We have strolled hand in hand
Under stars above

A paradise with promise
Of happiness I see
Yes, you brought me all of this
Since you came to me

Since you smiled at me
With your angel face so sweet
I smell fragrant tuberoses
Growing at my feet

And I’ll be happy through the years
Now that my dream is made complete
No tears for me will there be
Since you smiled at me

Since heaven above has made you mine
I will love and cherish you
Though storms may come in nighttime
Through all will be my love, it’s true

And every day I will pray
For our love to be divine
Since you came to me that day
Since heaven made you mine

There’ll Be Teardrops Tonight (Larry W. Jones 08/02/2005) (song#3844)

I can’t just pretend away this sorrow
To do so would not be right
You’ll be married by this time tomorrow
There’ll be teardrops tonight

Oh, why did you want to leave me
Alone under this moonlight
Don’t you know that this will grieve me
There’ll be teardrops tonight

I know I heard you say you loved me
Words that mean nothing in your veil of white
I can only wish on stars above me
There’ll be teardrops tonight

The promises you spoke to me
Have drifted out of sight
This heart that is now broke in me
Is full of tears tonight

It’s a shame, that’s what this show is
You’re to blame, and it’s not right
And the only thing I know is
There’ll be teardrops tonight

There’s A Lot Of Hawaii In Me (Larry W. Jones 08/02/2005) (song#3845)

There’s a lot of paradise in Hawaii
Islands far out in the sea
There’s a lot of paradise in Hawaii
And there’s a lot of Hawaii in me

There’s a lot of wide ocean around it
With other isles where you can roam
But I can say with emotion I’ve found it
A paradise of beauty that I call home

You might say you love old San Diego
But the ocean is cold there, you see
My devotion is where warm breezes blow
Come to Hawaii, I’m sure you’ll agree

There’s a lot of paradise in Hawaii
Now, there’s no exaggeration in me
There’s a lot of paradise in Hawaii
And there’s a lot of Hawaii in me

You might say you love old San Diego
But the ocean is cold there, you see
My devotion is where warm breezes blow
Come to Hawaii, I’m sure you’ll agree

There’s a lot of paradise in Hawaii
Now, there’s no exaggeration in me
There’s a lot of paradise in Hawaii
And there’s a lot of Hawaii in me

There’s a lot of paradise in Hawaii
And there’s a lot of Hawaii in me

Lehua Blossom Wedding (Larry W. Jones 08/02/2005) (song#3846)

We watched a lehua blossom wedding
On the beach underneath the moon
It was at that lehua blossom wedding
Where I fell in love with you that June

We dated and we waited for the time
When we would say our vows and then
We planned a lehua blossom wedding
When the full moon came around again

Well, I waited in lehua blossom lane
With my dreams and your wedding ring
But it seems there only came the rain
You took away my dreams and spring

I watched your lehua blossom wedding
On the beach underneath the moon above
Such a nice lehua blossom wedding
Where I lost my lehua blossom love

Well, I waited in lehua blossom lane
With my dreams and your wedding ring
But it seems there only came the rain
You took away my dreams and spring

I watched your lehua blossom wedding
On the beach underneath the moon above
Such a nice lehua blossom wedding
Where I lost my lehua blossom love

An Old Sweet Island Song (Larry W. Jones 08/07/2005) (song#3847)

From the time when we first heard the island’s call
When on the isle moonbeams began to fall
Then out of dreams arose what seemed to belong
Only to two hearts in love an old sweet island song
And in the twilight underneath the light of tiki gleam
An old sweet island song became our lifelong dream

Just an island song at twilight
When tiki lights were all aglow
Two shadows in the moonlight
Becoming one where breezes blow
Now, though the years be longer
And the days roll right along
Never has our love been stronger
Ever in an old sweet island song

Today we still hear love words on the shore
Whispered on the tradewinds evermore
Footprints in the sand, weary though are they
Still we stroll hand in hand at end of day
So, as long as to love the islands call
An old sweet island song
Will forever be the sweetest song of all

Just an island song at twilight
When tiki lights were all aglow
Two shadows in the moonlight
Becoming one where breezes blow
Now, though the years be longer
And the days roll right along
Never has our love been stronger
Ever in an old sweet island song

Bluebird On My Island (Larry W. Jones 08/07/2005) (song#3848)

I’ve got a bluebird on my island
That sits on my cottage windowsill
He sings a few words in the sun
Of a new love my heart to thrill

All my tears his songs have washed away
Happiness has come home to reside
I’ve got a bluebird every happy day
Ever since you’ve been by my side

I’ve got a bluebird on my island
That sits on my cottage windowsill
He sings a few words in the sun
Of a new love my heart to thrill

At one time my heart was very sad
I thought I’d never smile again
Now that you’re mine, I’m very glad
My bluebird sings love songs again

The rain may come, but the rain will go
And dark clouds soon will roll away
A bluebird sings where tradewinds blow
On my windowsill with love today

I’ve got a bluebird on my island
That sits on my cottage windowsill
He sings a few words in the sun
Of a new love my heart to thrill

Love Song (Larry W. Jones 08/07/2005) (song#3849)

Today I heard a love song
That my heart could understand
I heard it as I strolled along
On the island in the sand
The world I’ve travelled over
Sailed the oceans many miles
I finally found a wife and lover
Dressed in polynesian style

I’ve heard it in the tradewinds
Seen love words in the sand
I found a love that I could win
Here in a far off distant land
Tell everyone I’ve found a pearl
Her love for me is true, I know
I finally found an island girl
Where the tradewinds softly blow

Today we watched the sunset
As it sank into the sea
And I thank this one that I met
For the love she’s giving me
I no longer go on dreaming
For my dream’s here on this isle
With love her face is beaming
Dressed in polynesian style

I’ve heard it in the tradewinds
Seen love words in the sand
I found a love that I could win
Here in a far off distant land
Tell everyone I’ve found a pearl
Her love for me is true, I know
I finally found an island girl
Where the tradewinds softly blow

On The Far Side Of The Sea (Larry W. Jones 08/08/2005) (song#3850)

There’s a land where we can start again
On the far side of the sea
Where we can love with heart again
A paradise for you and me
There’s a land where we can start again
Where no cloud will shroud the sky
And we’ll never have to part again
Never have to say Aloha ‘oe goodbye

All these troubles that surround us
Have turned our blue skies to grey
But you and I still have around us
Love that’s true and dreams today

There’s a land where we can start again
On the far side of the sea
Where we can love with heart again
A paradise for you and me
There’s a land where we can start again
Where no cloud will shroud the sky
And we’ll never have to part again
Never have to say Aloha ‘oe goodbye

All we need is a star to steer by
And heed that far off island call
This one dream, dear, we can’t deny
Where palm trees grow so tall

A song of love can start again
As in the days that used to be
You and I can fall in love again
On the far side of the sea

Number The Coconuts (Larry W. Jones 08/08/2005) (song#3851)

Number the moonbeams in a velvet sky
Number the tuberroses as you stroll by
Then you’ll know how oft I’ve missed you
For I have missed how soft I’ve kissed you

Number the coconuts on tall palm trees
Number every breaker on stormy seas
In your lonely hut, are you crying too
Like my breaking heart still cries for you

Do you count sheep while in your slumber
And do you keep account of their number
Then you know how much I call your name
And how much I miss your touch the same

Number the moonbeams in a velvet sky
Number the tuberroses as you stroll by
Then you’ll know how oft I’ve missed you
For I have missed how soft I’ve kissed you

Number the coconuts on tall palm trees
Number every breaker on stormy seas
In your lonely hut, are you crying too
Like my breaking heart still cries for you

Number the coconuts on tall palm trees
Number every breaker on stormy seas
In your lonely hut, are you crying too
Like my breaking heart still cries for you

Little Island Girl O Mine (Larry W. Jones 08/08/2005) (song#3852)

There is a girl, an island girl
In the far, far southern sea
In the ocean where I long to be
She’s been there waiting and waiting
Waiting for a long, long time
That island girl’s been waiting there for me

On the shore, on the shore
Looking out o’re the boundless sea
She is watching night and day
Watching for a ship that’s bringing me
That’s why I’ll soon be on my way

Today I’m sailing home, sailing home
To that little island girl ‘o mine
Past Argentine and cold Cape Horn
To a warmer tropic clime
To that polynesian isle where I was born

Out where the great Pacific ocean
Surrounds an old love once begun
We’ll renew with great emotion
That love when she and I are one

Today I’m sailing home, sailing home
To that little island girl ‘o mine

On The Old Lagoon (Larry W. Jones 08/15/2005) (song #3853)

Hear my mele, sweet Leilani
Hear my tune beneath the moon
Hele mai nani ku’u ipo
Come with me in my old canoe

Serenade across the old lagoon

You will hear my mele, soft and low
Like the old talk stories of lovers long ago
A new story of love I will sing to you
On the old lagoon in my old canoe

Hear my mele, sweet Leilani
On the old lagoon in my old canoe

Moonlight on the old lagoon
My guitar, you will hear it played
Hele mai nani ku’u ipo
Come with me and hear my serenade

Serenade across the old lagoon

You will hear my mele, soft and low
Like the old talk stories of lovers long ago
A new story of love I will sing to you
On the old lagoon in my old canoe

Hear my mele, sweet Leilani
On the old lagoon in my old canoe

My Heart Said Aloha (Larry W. Jones 08/15/2005) (song#3854)

When I took that look at you
Under skies of bluest blue
Love is what it was, I knew
And my heart said Aloha too

My feet could barely walk
You looked so sweet
My lips could barely talk
I fell squarely in love with you
And my heart said Aloha too

No truer words were ever spoken
That’s ‘ere been heard as love’s first token
Than the word my heart spoke to you
When my heart said Aloha too

My feet could barely walk
You looked so sweet
My lips could barely talk
I fell squarely in love with you
And my heart said Aloha too

No truer words were ever spoken
That’s ‘ere been heard as love’s first token
Than the word my heart spoke to you
When my heart said Aloha too

Aloha Oe To This Island Love (Larry W. Jones 08/25/2005) (song#3855)

Aloha ‘oe, as these words I pen
An island love story comes to an end
But the glory of love means you’re still a friend

Aloha ‘oe, my heart doesn’t want to say
This goodbye will haunt me forever and a day
So, may I to you sincerely say

I wish you rainbows after every rain
And a tradewind that blows away the pain
A flower to wear in your lovely hair
But above all, when islands call
I wish to remember our island love

And in June, I wish you a tropic moon
For that new love you’ll be finding soon
The topic of my song is that I’ll love alone
For our love, you see, was not to be
Aloha ‘oe to this island love I’ve known

I wish you happiness and reasons to smile
And seasons with no loneliness on the isle
I wish you all the blessings from above
But above all, when islands call
I wish to remember our island love

And in June, I wish you a tropic moon
For that new love you’ll be finding soon
The topic of my song is that I’ll love alone
For our love, you see, was not to be
Aloha ‘oe to this island love I’ve known

My Little Island Queen (Larry W. Jones 08/26/2005) (song#3856)

Sweet Leilani, you’re my little island queen
Sweet island flower, now is the hour
You can fill my every dream

Like a big wind blowin’, my love is growin’
Stronger than a hurricane
Sweet Leilani, you know it’s true
Just to be with you, I’ll sail the bounding main

There you go, strollin’ down in Waikiki
With your long hair flowing
Heartbeats are going, even in old Maui

Oh me, you’re such a lovely sight to see
With your sweet smile, you’re winning
Heads that are spinning
Just don’t forget that you belong to me

Sweet Leilani, you’re my little island queen
Sweet island flower, now is the hour
You can fill my every dream

Like a big wind blowin’, my love is growin’
Stronger than a hurricane
Sweet Leilani, you know it’s true
Just to be with you, I’ll sail the bounding main

My sweet Leilani, little island honey
You could drive a man insane
Let me stroll beside you, my love will guide you
Like a true island love refrain

Sweet Leilani, you’re my little island queen
Sweet island flower, now is the hour
You can fill my every dream

Like a big wind blowin’, my love is growin’
Stronger than a hurricane
Sweet Leilani, you know it’s true
Just to be with you, I’ll sail the bounding main

Mele Ho’oipoipo (Larry W. Jones 08/31/2005) (song#3857)

All day long I sing Aloha au ia’oe
And you’re the one who made me start
All day long I sing of you
With a mele ho’oipoipo in my heart

Polynesian eyes spoke of love
Just like an island melody
One from paradise I’m singing of
Rings like a mele symphony

Tradewinds blow with I love you
Aloha au ia’oe
Mahalo for your love so true
On this island in the sea

You caused my heart to gently pause
And then beat madly from the start
Now I gladly sing love songs because
You put a mele ho’oipoipo in my heart

Polynesian eyes spoke of love
Just like an island melody
One from paradise I’m singing of
Rings like a mele symphony

You caused my heart to gently pause
And then beat madly from the start
Now I gladly sing love songs because
You put a mele ho’oipoipo in my heart

Old Lahaina (Larry W. Jones 08/31/2005) (song#3858)

The tradewind still blows in old Lahaina town
On an island in the sun
There my heart still goes but it’s broken down
You were my only one

Now you’re just a mem’ry, as they say
Of a heartache that will never end
And though old Maui isle is far away
I’d still love to see your smile again

Old Lahaina, the tropic sun was in your hair
Old Lahaina, the topic of love was in the air
Old Lahaina, I yearn for you back in my arms
Cause every day that we’re apart
I plead for your return with all your charms
In old Lahaina, where lies my broken heart

I still see your face as you’re strolling by the bay
Still a lovely song though it’s been so long
I’m so lonely thinking of only yesterday
Back in old Lahaina town’s where I belong

Old Lahaina, the tropic sun was in your hair
Old Lahaina, the topic of love was in the air
Old Lahaina, I yearn for you back in my arms
Cause every day that we’re apart
I plead for your return with all your charms
In old Lahaina, where lies my broken heart
In old Lahaina, where lies my broken heart

Sweet Lani Lou (Larry W. Jones 08/31/2005) (song#3859)

Listen to my song, sweet Lani Lou
Listen to my song beneath the moon
Won’t you come along in my old canoe
Moonlight glistens on the old lagoon

Listen to my song beneath the moon
Moonlight glistens on the old lagoon

Steel guitars are playing soft and low
Hear sweet Maui chimes as they ring
The stars are saying it’s time to go
Sweet Lani Lou, it’s of you I sing

Listen to my song beneath the moon
Moonlight glistens on the old lagoon

Won’t you come along, sweet Lani Lou
We’ll listen to the guitars as they’re played
Listen to my song about my love for you
Sweet Lani Lou, you’re my serenade

Listen to my song beneath the moon
Moonlight glistens on the old lagoon

Listen to my song where tradewinds blow
The story of love from islands long ago
Listen to my song, sweet Lani Lou
Won’t you come along in my old canoe

Break My Heart (Larry W. Jones 09/01/2005) (song#3860)

Break my heart, break my heart
For one that you still hold so dear
I know you ache, my heart
Go ahead and break, my heart
Now that her island’s far from here

I know that you believed all her lies
That she weaved for you in paradise
You still hear the islands call in vain
As your broken pieces fall in pain

So, go ahead and break, my heart
Yes, ache, my heart
But don’t mistake that you’ve been slain
For someday you must learn
Yes, you must learn to live and love again

I know that you believed all her lies
That she weaved for you in paradise
You still hear the islands call in vain
As your broken pieces fall in pain

So, go ahead and break, my heart
Yes, ache, my heart
But don’t mistake that you’ve been slain
For someday you must learn
Yes, you must learn to live and love again

Waikiki Beach (Larry W. Jones 09/03/2005) (song#3861)

The tropics are near with blue skies so clear
And I know just where to go
It’s not for some clime with cold winter time
I just don’t like ice and snow

I’ll take a trip over for islands to rover
Soft tradewinds are sighing there too
Old Waikiki Beach is just within reach
And I’ve got friendships there to renew

Waikiki Beach, Waikiki Beach
Where gentle waves love to roll
Skies there are blue, cares there are few
And sweethearts love to stroll

Steel guitar music’s entrancing
In Waikiki we’ll go dancing
I’ll steal a sweet kiss from a peach
When we meet at old Waikiki Beach

The scene, by the way, is one hula sway
All the palm trees seem to do it too
I’ll take me a walk, make some love talk
With someone with dreams to pursue

I’ll do whatever is worth the endeavor
To make that girl mine today
We’ll stroll hand in hand in the warm sand
And listen to waves as they say

Waikiki Beach, Waikiki Beach
Where gentle waves love to roll
Skies there are blue, cares there are few
And sweethearts love to stroll

Steel guitar music’s entrancing
In Waikiki we’ll go dancing
I’ll steal a sweet kiss from a peach
When we meet at old Waikiki Beach

Hurricane Katrina (Larry W. Jones 09/09/2005) (song#3862)

Katrina came alive in September of oh five
The Big Easy died along with jazz and all that jive
That hurricane was big, it was a category four
Poles bent like a twig when Katrina came ashore

Hurricane Katrina, her winds would not abate
Hurricane Katrina, some ran but some ran too late
Hurricane Katrina, the Gulf Coast had to evacuate
No storm can relate to Hurricane Katrina

The storm they named Katrina came with lots of rain
A dance it performed on a lake called Ponchatrain
The levees it would breach was a lesson it would teach
About the chance of building a city in a flooding plain

Hurricane Katrina, her winds would not abate
Hurricane Katrina, some ran but some ran too late
Hurricane Katrina, the Gulf Coast had to evacuate
No storm can relate to Hurricane Katrina

Storm winds then screamed like a howling hyena
Safety it seemed was in a great big sports arena
But the top was most gone from the big Superdome
And the air was most foul in that Cajun marina

Hurricane Katrina, her winds would not abate
Hurricane Katrina, some ran but some ran too late
Hurricane Katrina, the Gulf Coast had to evacuate
No storm can relate to Hurricane Katrina

Thousands were saved but thousands more died
When the winds of Katrina would finally subside
Now only the brave and only fools will reside
Where you face the tide of another Hurricane Katrina

Hurricane Katrina, her winds would not abate
Hurricane Katrina, some ran but some ran too late
Hurricane Katrina, the Gulf Coast had to evacuate
No storm can relate to Hurricane Katrina

What Isle In The Stream (Larry W. Jones 09/25/2005) (song#3863)

I hope you don’t mind if I take the time
To ask you some things I already know
My heart beats in time with sweet Maui chimes
I just can’t retreat from this tropical glow

What isle in the stream turned into a dream
Of a fantasy that now has come true
What smile it would seem is of peaches and cream
How could it be anyone else but you

What isle in the stream has a moonbeam
That can turn it into paradise
And why do I yearn to see stars that burn
If it’s not those in your eyes

And of my request with a love to be blessed
I never guessed it would come true
What isle in the stream came onto the scene
What I mean is the one here with you

What hula hips and the feel of sweet lips
Could make my heart skip a beat or maybe two
This isle in the stream turned into a dream
When I took a trip here and, baby I met you

Music Like A Violin (Larry W. Jones 10/03/2005) (song#3864)

Every time that we meet, island music starts
We feel the beat upon the strings of our hearts
And we know the meaning of the words of the song
A glow is intervening of a love growing strong

Every time that we kiss, here in old Lahaina town
Maui chimes exist for this sweet love that we’ve found
And when we kiss again, here in Hawaii blue
Music like a violin plays for me and you

And we know the meaning of the words of the song
A glow is intervening of a love growing strong

Every time that we kiss, here in old Lahaina town
Maui chimes exist for this sweet love that we’ve found
And when we kiss again, here in Hawaii blue
Music like a violin plays for me and you

Music like a violin plays for me and you

Oh Bora Bora (Larry W. Jones 10/03/2005) (song#3865)

Oh Bora Bora, island in the stream
You’re now just a dream, of love that ne’er will fade
Oh Bora Bora, your moonlight softly beams
Upon a love that’s in my heart
A love that’s in my heart but oh, so far away

Oh Bora Bora, I think of you and smile
Though my eyes are full of tears
Oh Bora Bora, dream with me awhile
For only then will paradise appear
My love is oh, so far away

Island love sometimes isn’t fair
Especially when she’s not there
And time sometimes cannot mend
An island love that cannot end
Something my heart can’t comprehend

Oh Bora Bora, island in the stream
You’re now just a dream, of love that ne’er will fade

Oh Bora Bora, I think of you and smile
Though my eyes are full of tears
Oh Bora Bora, dream with me awhile
For only then will paradise appear
My love is oh, so far away

Island love sometimes isn’t fair
Especially when she’s not there
And time sometimes cannot mend
An island love that cannot end
Something my heart can’t comprehend

Oh Bora Bora, island in the stream

After Sweet Maui Chimes (Larry W. Jones 10/03/2005) (song#3866)

After Sweet Maui Chimes
Play Aloha ‘oe for me one more time

Excuse me while I voice my plea
The band’s been playing and it’s almost three
Please play some favorite island songs of mine
After Sweet Maui Chimes
Play Aloha ‘oe for me one more time

After Sweet Maui Chimes
Play Aloha ‘oe for me one more time
Island love is sweet when it begins
But a heart is in defeat when it ends
So, after Sweet Maui Chimes
Play Aloha ‘oe for me one more time

In Waikiki, we strolled hand in hand
Love was sweet here in island sand
The band already knows two favorite songs of mine
After Sweet Maui Chimes
Play Aloha ‘oe for me one more time

After Sweet Maui Chimes
Play Aloha ‘oe for me one more time
Island love is sweet when it begins
But a heart is in defeat when it ends
So, after Sweet Maui Chimes
Play Aloha ‘oe for me one more time

Yes, after Sweet Maui Chimes
Play Aloha ‘oe for me one more time

Room In My Heart (Larry W. Jones 10/03/2005) (song#3867)

There’s always room in my heart for you
Your love that was in bloom proved untrue
Like a ship that’s lost without a chart
Love was tossed ashore and broke apart, it’s true
But there’s always room in my heart for you

There’s always room in my heart, it appears
To consume an ocean of your tears
Here in my arms you’ll have no regret
And in time I know you’ll forget the blues
There’s always room in my heart for you

There’s always room in my heart for your sighs
There’s room enough for two in paradise
Sweetheart, when your old love came to an end
I was here to claim you as a friend so true
There’s always room in my heart for you

There’s always room in my heart for you
Your love that was in bloom proved untrue
Like a ship that’s lost without a chart
Love was tossed ashore and broke apart, it’s true
But there’s always room in my heart for you

Maui Island Mele (Larry W. Jones 10/03/2005) (song#3868)

Birds of paradise sing away
The tropic sun’s a golden hue
It’s fun to stroll down by the bay
Hand in hand when I’m with you

I don’t know what tomorrow brings
But of sorrow it won’t be a part
It can’t be as long as there sings
This Maui island mele in my heart

This Maui island mele here today
Is the call of the island’s loving way
A song that’s heard from o’er the seas
Of love that’s whispered on the breeze

A chorus that has wings is drifting by
Brings a happiness with every sigh
Joy for this island boy it does impart
This Maui island mele in my heart

Birds of paradise sing away
The tropic sun’s a golden hue
It’s fun to stroll down by the bay
Hand in hand when I’m with you

I don’t know what tomorrow brings
But of sorrow it won’t be a part
It can’t be as long as there sings
This Maui island mele in my heart

Beneath A Southern Tropic Moon (Larry W. Jones 10/10/2005) (song#3869)

Oh how I love to wander, oceans I have roamed
I guess it’s something found in us all
Instead of mainland roads, I’ve sailed the foam
I always answer when the islands call

Call it wanderlust, I reckon, where tradewinds blow
I just know an island somewhere waits for me
But now that love has beckoned, dear, you must know
There’s a special place for us out in the sea

Beneath a southern tropic moon
Beside a blue lagoon
Where tradewinds whisper melodies
Of love in tropic southern seas

Over golden sands we’ll stroll
Over coral strands we’ll paddle our canoe
Never more to roam will be my goal
Beneath a southern tropic moon with you

Beneath a southern tropic moon
Beside a blue lagoon
Where tradewinds whisper melodies
Of love in tropic southern seas

Over golden sands we’ll stroll
Over coral strands we’ll paddle our canoe
Never more to roam will be my goal
Beneath a southern tropic moon with you

Hinano Tahiti Tiare (Larry W. Jones 10/17/2005) (song#3870)

Ia orana, hinano Tahiti tiare
Glad I am that you’re here this June night
How lovely, my hinano Tahiti tiare
Clad with the golden southern moonlight

So many things I want to tell you
Haere mai, ua here vau ia oe
With you I always want to dwell too
With my Tahiti tiare by the sea

Ia orana, hinano Tahiti tiare
Like a burning ember is my heart
When you dance the vahini tamure
Romance of Tahiti you impart

Hinano Tahiti tiare
A lei of roses for you I weave
Hinano Tahiti tiare
On this magic midsummer eve

Ia orana, hinano Tahiti tiare
Like a burning ember is my heart
When you dance the vahini tamure
Romance of Tahiti you impart

Hinano Tahiti tiare
A lei of roses for you I weave
Hinano Tahiti tiare
On this magic midsummer eve

Waimanalo Road Goodbye (Larry W. Jones 10/20/2005) (song#3871)

I’m thinking tonight of Waimanalo road
And birds of paradise that go flying by
Where you and I hand in hand strolled
And your kiss of Aloha ‘oe was goodbye

You kissed me and said you’d be true
Until the stars in paradise burn away
I said I’d watch down Waimanalo road
Watch for your return to me one day

The tropic sun still burns on that lonely road
And birds of paradise sing in palms that sway
I’m watching and waiting in my island abode
As I realize you’ll never return to me one day

You went away down Waimanalo road
And I’ve waited these long weary years
You’ll never return to a heart that you broke
When we kissed Aloha ‘oe with many tears

You kissed me and said you’d be true
Until the stars in paradise burn away
I said I’d watch down Waimanalo road
Watch for your return to me one day

I’m thinking tonight of Waimanalo road
And birds of paradise that go flying by
Where you and I hand in hand strolled
And your kiss of Aloha ‘oe was goodbye

Eternal Island Flower (Larry W. Jones 10/20/2005) (song#3872)

A flower was planted on isles so enchanted
That the tradewinds a love message blows
One there became a rose of such fame
A dear little, sweet little Leilani rose
And here’s how the island talk story goes

A sweet rose was born one heavenly morn
Her cheeks were of warm crimsom bloom
A fresh new lei was worn, for it would adorn
This island beauty with sweetest perfume

An ali’i boy there found sweet Leilani so fair
His heart was bound with love from the start
Many summers have gone, yet his love blooms on
For his heavenly rose, his ku’u ipo sweetheart

Blossoms, they say, here and gone in a day
Then ever so quickly their beauty does go
But the islands talk of this sweet rose of love
Sweet Leilani where tradewinds eternal blow

A sweet rose was born one heavenly morn
Her cheeks were of warm crimsom bloom
A fresh new lei was worn, for it would adorn
This island beauty with sweetest perfume

Blossoms, they say, here and gone in a day
Then ever so quickly their beauty does go
But the islands talk of this sweet rose of love
Sweet Leilani where tradewinds eternal blow

Great Blue Whale (Larry W. Jones 10/21/2005) (song#3873)

In eighteen hundred and forty nine
In May on the fourteenth day
Sails we hoisted for the northern clime
And from old Maui we sailed away

The lookout, he watched thru the win’try gale
His spyglass fixed firm to his eye
There blows a whale, a great blue whale
A great blue whale was his cry

The captain came then to the quarter deck
So all of the mates could hear his call
Lower the jibs and belaying pins check
And lower the dories before the night fall

The dories we lowered just as we were told
And the harpoon thrower kept fast his view
Soon each small dory full of sailormen bold
Steered for the glory as the blue whale blew

The harpoon struck deep in the whale’s coat
And then with it’s tail it splintered our boat
Four sailormen lost, thrown from the rail
And for all the cost, could not catch the whale

Well, the arctic is a cold, barren sea
And the stars of winter do cold appear
So, back to old Maui we all did agree
And return to warmer climes we steer

Now points our bow toward old Maui
Toward warmer climes at last we sail
Yes, the arctic is cold, a barren sea
Where blows the great blue whale
Where blows the great blue whale

Isle Of Sunset Dreams (Larry W. Jones 10/25/2005) (song#3874)

As the western sun is sinking
It paints the world in all its glow
That’s when you’ll find me thinking
Of island days of long ago

I must return to the isle of sunset dreams
Under skies of brightest blue
The rosy smile of love, it seems
Is still there in the sunshine with you

Your sweet lips are there to smile
Where the sunshine warmly gleams
So, let me think back for awhile
To the isle of sunset dreams

I drift away to that island sand
In the evening when day is done
And once again there hand in hand
We stroll in the tropic sun

I must return to the isle of sunset dreams
Under skies of brightest blue
The rosy smile of love, it seems
Is still there in the sunshine with you
On the isle of sunset dreams
On the isle of sunset dreams

Down Kalakaua Avenue (Larry W. Jones 10/26/2005) (song#3875)

Everybody’s strolling hand in hand
Down Kalakaua Avenue
Everybody’s nice and tanned
Down Kalakaua Avenue

This is when I miss and reminisce
All the joys that I have known
Oh boy, it’s sad to be alone

The tropic moon is on the rise
Soon I’ll put on my disguise
Pretending that I’m not so blue
Spending time in paradise
Wishing I could stroll
Down Kalakaua Avenue with you

This is when I miss and reminisce
All the joys that I have known
Oh boy, it’s sad to be alone

The tropic moon is on the rise
Soon I’ll put on my disguise
Pretending that I’m not so blue
Spending time in paradise
Wishing I could stroll
Down Kalakaua Avenue with you

Strolling Round Lahaina Town (Larry W. Jones 10/27/2005) (song#3876)

Strolling ’round Lahaina town
Beneath the tropic moon
With the one I love
And the stars above
Steel guitars play a sentimental tune
Strolling ’round Lahaina town
Beneath the tropic moon

Birds of paradise sing of love
A gentle isle refrain
Tradewinds ’round Lahaina town
Make a sound only love can explain

And as we two stroll together
We’ll set a goal for a honeymoon
Strolling ’round Lahaina town
Beneath the tropic moon

Birds of paradise sing of love
A gentle isle refrain
Tradewinds ’round Lahaina town
Make a sound only love can explain

And as we two stroll together
We’ll set a goal for a honeymoon
Strolling ’round Lahaina town
Beneath the tropic moon

It Happened In Hawaii Nei (Larry W. Jones 10/27/2005) (song#3877)

In my mind’s eye, I find that I
Am back in warm seas island sand
But sadly I recall, how gladly love did call
To please the heart of a lonely man

It happened in Hawaii nei
Such a long time ago
She was a sweet bouquet
Where the tradewinds blow

There was the moon and steel guitars
And her kiss as sweet as wine
But all too soon beneath the stars
Broken hearts were hers and mine

It happened in Hawaii nei
The start of love was nice
But I left and sailed away
From the heart of paradise

There was the moon and steel guitars
And her kiss as sweet as wine
But all too soon beneath the stars
Broken hearts were hers and mine

Now anytime I hear a song
From o’er where palm trees sway
My poor heart can only long
For my sweetheart in Hawaii nei

Under The Sun Over The Moon (Larry W. Jones 10/28/2005) (song#3878)

On an island under the sun
Our love will be over the moon
Under the sun in the day
And over the moon at night
We’ll live in a tropical way
With the sun and moonlight

It will be just you and I
Forever together and a day
Our love will be in paradise
Under the sun by the bay

In the trail of a shooting star we’ll find
A song of love, an island tune
And under the sun we’ll refine
A love that’s over the moon

It will be just you and I
Forever together and a day
Our love will be in paradise
Under the sun by the bay

In the trail of a shooting star we’ll find
A song of love, an island tune
And under the sun we’ll refine
A love that’s over the moon

Call Of The Soft Tradewind (Larry W. Jones 10/29/2005) (song#3879)

The tradewind whispered
As it drifted in across the sea
It hung around to caress
Your hair and stroll along with me
That summer long we heard
Its song that wouldn’t end
Two sweethearts enthralled
By the call of the soft tradewind

Like birds in flight
Were days and nights in paradise
Love was new for me and you
Under the tropic skies
Then the piper played a tune
I knew was a call to you
You went away and I lost you
To the call of the soft tradewind

The winter winds
Winter winds now sing their song
As the days of loneliness
Seem to cling on and on
But still I hear the sighs
Of the lullabies without end
Of one that will forever
Pretend to be my friend
The tradewind, the soft tradewind
You went away and I lost you
To the call of the soft tradewind

Honolulu By Mornin’ (Larry W. Jones 10/31/2005) (song#3880)

Honolulu by mornin’
Another tropic zone
Weather ain’t too hot
For what I’ve got on

When the sun is high
In Hawaiian skies
I’ll be surfin’ where the winds are fair
Honolulu by mornin’
Honolulu is my last prayer

They took my title down under
At New South Wales’ Byron Bay
Sometimes I have to wonder
If surfin’ was meant this way

Well, I’ll be hangin’ ten and fate
When that sun’s up straight
And I hope that surfin’ judge is kind
Honolulu by mornin’
Honolulu’s on my horizon line

Honolulu by mornin’
Another tropic zone
Weather ain’t too hot
For what I’ve got on

I’ll be there on time
Hear those Maui chimes
I’ll make my pitch
Surf that North Shore sea
Honolulu by mornin’
Honolulu’s waitin’ for me

Honolulu by mornin’
Honolulu’s waitin’ for me

Back To Hawaii You’ll Roam (Larry W. Jones 11/03/2005) (song#3881)

Girl, if you let tropic starlight blind your eyes
If you find a beachboy in paradise
And if he teaches you his decoy lies
Back to Hawaii you’ll roam

Girl, if you drink a tall blue Hawaii, you’ll swoon
And if the islands call from a sleepy lagoon
You’ll have to book a honeymoon
Back to Hawaii you’ll roam

Girl, if you find your feet in island sand
And if you happen to get that perfect tan
You’re bound to find you an island man
And from Hawaii you’ll never roam

And if the islands call from a sleepy lagoon
You’ll have to book a honeymoon
Back to Hawaii you’ll roam
Back to Hawaii you’ll roam

Too Far Away Island (Larry W. Jones 11/03/2005) (song#3882)

If I could only reach island sands
With my arms stretched out across the ocean
I’d beseech you with my hands
And teach you the depth of love’s emotion

Then we wouldn’t be so far apart
I’d hold you in my arms, not just in my heart

My love would be with yours to share
With my arms stretched out across the ocean
It would be without compare
For my love for you has deep devotion

Then we wouldn’t be so far apart
I’d hold you in my arms, not just in my heart

If I could only reach island sands
With my arms stretched out across the ocean
I’d beseech you with my hands
And teach you the depth of love’s emotion

But your island is too far away, dear
For my arms to reach that far
And my heart can’t be filled with cheer
When I can’t see a tropic moon or star

So I’ll just dream of you and love’s sweet potion
With my arms stretched out across the ocean
With my arms stretched out across the ocean

Pumpin’ Surf At Ehukai (Larry W. Jones 11/03/2005) (song#3883)

Get out the board wax
Surfin’ time is here again
Where we goin’ this time
To Ehukai banzai pipeline

See the North Shore waves grow
Big surf roar is crankin’, I know
This time we gonna pintail the brine
At Ehukai banzai pipeline

Surfin’ on the banzai pipeline
Pullin’ into barrels on the inside bowl
Hope my head don’t hear no Maui chimes
Slashin’ off the top down into the hole

On this golden tropical day
Workin’ Ehukai or Waimea Bay
Catch some waves to last a lifetime
Surfin’ on the banzai pipeline

Waves are breakin’ on the North Shore sand
Brave is the heart of island surfin’ man
Mai Huli ‘oe I Kokua O Ke Kai!
Pumpin’ surf at Ehukai
Pumpin’ surf at Ehukai

Aloha No Au Ia ‘Oe (Larry W. Jones 11/03/2005) (song#3884)

There’s a palm tree on the island
With the tradewind drifting by
I can see carved there by your hand
Aloha no au ia ‘oe til I die
I will always love you til I die

Something I’ll always remember
Is the love we shared in paradise
From the day when lovers we were
And Aloha no au ia ‘oe til I die
I will always love you til I die

But further down the moonlit shore
Two silhouettes are one, I see
Someone new that you adore
Oh, how I wish that it were me

By that palm where tradewinds blow
There my dreams will always lie
And I’ll remember words you know
Aloha no au ia ‘oe til I die
I will always love you til I die

I’m Thinking Tonight Of Blue Hawaii (Larry W. Jones 11/04/2005) (song#3885)

I’m thinking tonight of blue Hawaii
Those islands so far across the sea
I’m thinking tonight of blue Hawaii
I know someone there who thinks of me

I wonder if it would have been better
If that island girl and I had never met
I wonder if she ever read my letter
That said my heart will never forget

Promises to each other were spoken
Vows that time itself would never part
How I wish those words were not broken
Like the aching of my broken heart

I’m thinking tonight of blue Hawaii
Those islands so far across the sea
I’m thinking tonight of blue Hawaii
I know someone there who thinks of me

When the ending of life comes upon me
She’ll never know and never shed a tear
I’m thinking tonight of blue Hawaii
And that island girl I wish was still near

Ten Thousand Miles (Larry W. Jones 11/09/2005) (song#3886)

Aloha ‘oe, fare thee well
My own true island love
Aloha ‘oe but for a while
I sail today at the bell
But I’ll return to you, my love
Though I sail ten thousand miles

Ten thousand miles
My own true island love
Ten thousand miles from this shore
May the arctic ice all melt
And the oceans themselves burn
Should I not return to one I adore

Over in that tall palm tree
Sits a lonesome paradise bird
Weeping for his love divine
He’s weeping there beside the sea
Every note a lonesome word
As I shall weep the same for mine

I shall return from yonder sea
My own true island love
And I’ll no more sail away from thee
For I will need the truest friend
Someone to love until the end
You have been the truest friend to me

Ten thousand miles
My own true island love
Ten thousand miles from this shore
May the arctic ice all melt
And the oceans themselves burn
Should I not return to one I adore

I shall return from yonder sea
My own true island love
And I’ll no more sail away from thee
For I will need the truest friend
Someone to love until the end
You have been the truest friend to me

For Just Awhile (Larry W. Jones 11/09/2005) (song#3887)

I strolled alone
In mornin’ dew
Lost in a memory
Tradewind from the sea whispered
Whispered words of love to me, to me
Whispered words of love to me

Two long years ago
Someone was here and stole
My sweet island girl from me
She left for where the winds are cold
My sweet island girl’s across the sea, the sea
My sweet island girl’s across the sea

For just awhile, not too long
Her love and mine was strong
She vowed her love to me
Each night down by the ebbing tide
She vowed her love to me, to me
She vowed her love to me

Then late one night
By the tiki light
I wondered where she could be
Tradewind came along with a lonely song
My true’s gone across the sea, the sea
My true’s gone across the sea

Tradewind song haunts my mind
Here where breezes blow
Notes of reality
Only heaven knew she’d not be mine
Her love for me was not to be, to be
Her love for me was not to be

Writer Of Island Songs (Larry W. Jones 11/10/2005) (song#3888)

I am a writer of island songs
Songs as sweet as a lehua lei
Now to whom can I write my island songs
When my island love has strolled away

I learned some Hawaiian words
Even figured out the key and tune
Been practicing like paradise birds
Here under the tropic moon
But nobody’s here to hear my songs
Might as well put ’em on the shelf
I am a writer of island songs
But now I just write them to myself

I write the words and make them rhyme
Of a lovely face and a lovely time
Might as well write fror a menehune
That little Hawaiian elf
But some may think that I was looney
So now I just write them to myself

I learned some Hawaiian words
Even figured out the key and tune
Been practicing like paradise birds
Here under the tropic moon
But nobody’s here to hear my songs
Might as well put ’em on the shelf
I am a writer of island songs
But now I just write them to myself

Strolling The Island With You (Larry W. Jones 11/10/2005) (song#3889)

I don’t like the desert where the sun will burn
As for the mainland, I’ll never more return
But I like the ocean where skies are blue
And I like strolling the island here with you

I love to see and hear big waves that roar
I like to paddle a canoe that’s made for two
And how could I ask for anything more
Than go strolling the island here with you

Dancing through an afternoon shower
Romancing through a full moon hour
Island life is like a magical game
It’s magic every time I hear your name

I love a good luau and all that cuisine
I could say wow to any island scene
I love extolling how a dream came true
Strolling the island here with you

Dancing through an afternoon shower
Romancing through a full moon hour
Island life is like a magical game
It’s magic every time I hear your name

I love a good luau and all that cuisine
I could say wow to any island scene
I love extolling how a dream came true
Strolling the island here with you

Hapa Haole Cowhand (Larry W. Jones 11/10/2005) (song#3890)

I’m a hapa haole cowhand
From the island sand
I ride a big surfboard
And my hide is tanned
I’m a hapa haole cowhand
That I’ll avow
But I never planned on ropin’ no cow
Not even sure if I ever knew how
Yippie ti yi yippie yippie yay, yippie yay
Yippie ti yi yippie yippie yay

I’m a hapa haole cowhand
From the island sand
I play a koa guitar
In an island band
Now about ridin’ a horse
I can relate
But from the horse’s mouth he’ll tell you straight
Never won no rodeo in the fiftieth state
Yippie ti yi yippie yippie yay, yippie yay
Yippie ti yi yippie yippie yay

I know all the island songs
That the paniolos know
Bout the big Parker Ranch
Where the tradewinds blow
Cause I heard ’em all from Aloha Joe
On internet radio
Yippie ti yi yippie yippie yay, yippie yay
Yippie ti yi yippie yippie yay

The Music Is You (Larry W. Jones 11/11/2005) (song#3891)

I hear soft island music
When you come into view
An island scene made from a dream
Every dream I ever knew
I feel the strings of my heart
As they begin to play
But every time I feel them start
I feel the music drift away

I hear soft island music
Soft as your hula hands
A beautiful symphony
Of love in island sands
And I feel down in my heart
There must be a way
There must be a way

But it’s only I who hear this island tune
In paradise near the tropic moon
Here where gentle tradewinds blow
There must be a way to let you know

One of these days I’ll let you know
Of this song I alone hear my heart sing
This melody that makes my heart glow
With summer love and songs of spring

I hear soft island music
When you come into view
For the music my heart hears
Whenever you’re near
Is you, the music is you

Along The Way To Old Maui (Larry W. Jones 11/12/2005) (song#3892)

Far away one day I strayed
Where tradewinds gently blow
I heard ukuleles intently played
And steel guitars soft and low

My heart’s still there and so I’m going
And you’re invited to come along too
Hear music on the breezes flowing
With love where dreams come true

Old Lahaina town where life is slow
Begs all to come and stay awhile
Play awhile and then you’ll know
Why tradewinds call from Maui isle

And if you stroll along with me
Along the way to old Maui
You’ll hear Hawaiian melodies
Playing through the tall palm trees

That’s why I must return once more
To stroll along that golden shore
Old Lahaina stole this heart of me
Along the way to old Maui

Mellow Tiki Light Melody (Larry W. Jones 11/12/2005) (song#3893)

Every night when it’s dark in Ala Moana park
And moonbeams are shining on the sea
Comes a little fellow when the moon is yellow
A love song he sings and joy he brings
With his mellow tiki light melody

As he strolls along lovers hear his song
He seems so pleased to hear their sighs
And when the time is right, moon is bright
He lights the tropic stars in paradise

And if some heart should hesitate
To fall in love there by the sea
He sprinkles it with words they can relate
To his mellow tiki light melody

Then he steals away by Honolulu bay
When the morning sun shines on the sea
And tonight he’ll seal another dream that’s real
With his mellow tiki light melody

And if some heart should hesitate
To fall in love there by the sea
He sprinkles it with words they can relate
To his mellow tiki light melody

Then he steals away by Honolulu bay
When the morning sun shines on the sea
And tonight he’ll seal another dream that’s real
With his mellow tiki light melody

Last Time I Strolled In Paradise (Larry W. Jones 11/12/2005) (song#3894)

The last time I strolled in paradise
The air was sweet with ocean spray
I heard the tradewind in its sighs
At that little Lehua street cafe

The last time I strolled in paradise
I heard Maui chimes sweetly ring
Couples go to see the moon arise
And listen to the birds that sing

I walked around in Waikiki
Though that has now been many years
The rhapsody there by the sea
Is even now still ringing in my ears

The last time I strolled in paradise
The air was sweet with ocean spray
And if I never return her blue skies
I’ll always remember Waikiki that way

The last time I strolled in paradise
I heard Maui chimes sweetly ring
Couples go to see the moon arise
And listen to the birds that sing

The last time I strolled in paradise
The air was sweet with ocean spray
And if I never return her blue skies
I’ll always remember Waikiki that way

Another Lazy Tropic Night (Larry W. Jones 11/12/2005) (song#3895)

Well, here’s another lazy tropic night
The stars and moon are out so bright
There’s a kind of hush, nobody in a rush
Even the tradewind barely makes a sound
Here outside old Lahaina town

Here’s another lazy tropic night
Under the Nakalele lighthouse light
A place for dreaming it’s sure seeming
A little way down from old Lahaina town

Wow, look at all those tourist cars
Like ours, parked under the stars
I guess they’re countin’ ’em like we are
Lookin’ to find one for to wish upon
The kind that will light our love alone

Here’s another lazy tropic night
The stars and moon are out so bright
To light the way true that love is found
A little way down from old Lahaina town

Well, here’s another lazy tropic night
Another lazy tropic night

Over Where The Islands Call (Larry W. Jones 11/12/2005) (song#3896)

Let’s take a boat to Hanalei
One that’s not too small
We’ll let Kauai float our cares away
Over where the islands call

Or maybe a flight in an aeroplane
We’ll fly over mountains tall
Or paddle a canoe to where the skies are blue
It’s paradise there as I recall

Might even get ’round to Lahaina town
Where even time is running late
And every day, my sweet, with Aloha I’ll greet
When we’re in the fiftieth state

Let’s go to where the tradewinds blow
Spend some time at Waimea Falls
We’ll live in a hut, out of the rut I know
Over where the islands call

Let’s go to where the tradewinds blow
Spend some time at Waimea Falls
We’ll live in a hut, out of the rut I know
Over where the islands call

I Lost A Dream (Larry W. Jones 11/12/2005) (song#3897)

Tradewinds don’t even cry for me
I don’t think they even sigh for me
They only whisper Aloha ‘oe goodbye to me
Because they know that we are through
I lost a dream I thought was true

Love sang its final song for me
Like a vinyl record broken half in two
Things went so wrong here by the sea
I lost a dream I thought was true

I thought our love here by the ocean
Was one with clear and deep devotion
But then one day you stepped aside
And drifted away just like the tide

I wonder who’s now holding you
I wonder if your new love knew
Skies turned dark that seemed so blue
I lost a dream I thought was true

Love sang its final song for me
Like a vinyl record broken half in two
Things went so wrong here by the sea
I lost a dream I thought was true

I lost a dream I thought was true

May You Ever Know (Larry W. Jones 11/12/2005) (song#3898)

May you ever stroll in tropic sunshine
Sleep warm where the tradewinds blow
May love ever be the topic you refine
And may a smile divine always show

May you ever find at your doorway
Birds of paradise to sing a song
May you ever travel along life’s way
With words of love to keep you strong

May love always be a burning ember
Don’t cry over little things that’s spilled
May old friends you long remember
May you ever be with goodness filled

May you ever know a really true love
May your dreams of that one come true
And if they do for one I’m thinking of
May you ever know that I love you

May you ever know a really true love
May your dreams of that one come true
And if they do for one I’m thinking of
May you ever know that I love you

A Song Of Love Divine (Larry W. Jones 11/12/2005) (song#3899)

Across the ocean brine tradewinds are singing
An island song of love divine is in the air
The sound of Maui chimes sweet in its ringing
Reminds me of a time so young and fair

Aloha au ia ‘oe, means that I love you
Across the ocean brine tradewinds are singing
Aloha au ia ‘oe, Aloha au ia ‘oe, I love you
Reminds me of a time when I was there

Time and tide have never lost their magic seeming
Though across the ocean tradewinds sigh and moan
You are far away on islands peaceful dreaming
And I am far away from paradise here all alone

But still I hear the tradewinds softly whis’pring
That there still is lovelight in your eyes
Across the ocean brine tradewinds are singing
A song of love divine from paradise

Aloha au ia ‘oe, Aloha au ia ‘oe, I love you
Across the lonely years I’ll hear that same reprise
Aloha au ia ‘oe, Aloha au ia ‘oe, I love you
A song of love divine from paradise

Thirty Nine Hundred (Larry W. Jones 11/13/2005) (song#3900)

Thirty nine hundred miles an hour, to get me to my love
Thirty nine hundred ways to tell you, it’s you I’m thinking of
Thirty nine hundred songs and counting, up to number one
You’re my island sweetheart, our love has just begun

If you ever ask me how long for you my love will be
Thirty nine hundred lifetimes, then we would wait and see
If I could do it over, not a thing would I ever change
I could sing you island songs of love that I’ve arranged

If you ever ask me how deep for you my love will be
I can only tell you that my love is deeper than the sea
Thirty nine hundred fathoms down lives cousin Davy Jones
Says I’ve got more songs to write about these tropic zones

Thirty nine hundred miles an hour, to get me to my love
Thirty nine hundred ways to tell you, it’s you I’m thinking of
Thirty nine hundred songs and counting, up to number one
You’re my island sweetheart, our love has just begun
Thirty nine hundred songs and counting, up to number one
You’re my island sweetheart, our love has just begun

He Momi No Ka Pakipika (Larry W. Jones 11/13/2005) (song#3901)

He momi no ka Pakipika
Pearl of the Pacific you are
He momi waiwai nui
Pearl of value without par

Oh Hawaii, your beauty is clearly seen
You are viewed by all dearly as a dream
He momi no ka Pakipika
Pearl of the Pacific you are

When I am far from my island home
It is then I listen for your homeward call
And when I start to feel so all alone
You answer before my heart can fall

He momi no ka Pakipika
Pearl of the Pacific you are
He nani ma maika’i
Your beauty is without par

Ha’ina ia mai ka puana la
This ends my mele
Nani ‘o Hawai’i
He momi no ka Pakipika
Pearl of the Pacific

Starlight And Moonbeams (Larry W. Jones 11/13/2005) (song#3902)

A luau dance was being held down by the sea
I felt a bump and heard an oh, excuse me
That’s when I saw starlight and moonbeams
Around a polynesian dream

Steel guitar music started, and I couldn’t resist one
So I took a breath and said, may I have this one
In my arms I held starlight and moonbeams
Around a polynesian dream

I saw questions in the eyes of hula dancers
As we danced by the shore
I didn’t tell them but my heart had the answers
From the pages of island lore

Now in a little thatched roof cottage
That we live in by the shore
We light tiki lights instead of using wattage
And love we’ll give forevermore

And I’ll always see starlight and moonbeams
Around my polynesian dream

Tropic Nights And Steel Guitars (Larry W. Jones 11/13/2005) (song#3903)

Tropic nights and steel guitars
Underneath the tropic stars
Love’s music floats around us
On tradewinds that surround us

Tropic thoughts and tropic dreams
Quiet strolls by peaceful streams
One window opens to the mountains
The other opens to the sea
My heart is open to your love eternally

This isle is where I want to be
Here with you and you with me
Until the tiki light of life itself
Shall flicker to its ending ember

I was the one who wandered lonely
And I wondered if this life was only
Some jester’s joke that was bizarre
Since my dreams had drifted afar

But now that I have found you
Love’s music floats around you
With tropic nights and steel guitars
Underneath the tropic stars

On The Island In The Moonlight (Larry W. Jones 11/14/2005) (song#3904)

How I’d love to hear the tradewinds
On the island in the moonlight
While we’re strolling on the isle
Where white tuberoses shine

How I’d love to hear them whisper
On the island in the moonlight
That the love I’ve found in paradise
Will last for all of time

Until tropic stars turn to ashes
Until the tropic moon turns to rust
You’ll always have my love
And my vows you’ll always trust

How I’d love to hear the tradewinds
On the island in the moonlight
Whisper a love song that never ends
Like the love song I hear tonight

Until tropic stars turn to ashes
Until the tropic moon turns to rust
You’ll always have my love
And my vows you’ll always trust

How I’d love to hear the tradewinds
On the island in the moonlight
Whisper a love song that never ends
Like the love song I hear tonight

Aloha Oe Sweetheart (Larry W. Jones 11/18/2005) (song#3905)

(Aloha ‘oe, Aloha ‘oe)
(Until we meet again, sweetheart)

This tropic eve love came to weave
And now it’s time to part
We’ll meet again to greet again
So, teardrops don’t let start
I’ll wait for you with a love that’s true
Aloha ‘oe, sweetheart

Aloha ‘oe
Aloha ‘oe
Until we meet again, sweetheart

This tropic eve love came to weave
And now it’s time to part
We’ll meet again to greet again
So, teardrops don’t let start
I’ll wait for you with a love that’s true
Aloha ‘oe, sweetheart

(Until we meet again, sweetheart)

Boogie Board Blues (Larry W. Jones 11/18/2005) (song#3906)

Over in old Maui
Where they make Maui wowee
There’s a big island kahuna
Waxin’ a boogie board by the sea

When the waves he’s a rockin’
To the shore they come flockin’
And if there’s no wave he can choose
He sings the boogie board blues

Off the wave top he goes flyin’
Boogie board drop feels like dyin’
But he never stops in his tryin’
Singin’ the boogie board blues

Island folks like the rhythm
And they join right in with him
It gets right down in your shoes
Singin’ the boogie board blues

When the waves he’s a rockin’
To the shore they come flockin’
And if there’s no wave he can choose
He sings the boogie board blues

Island folks like the rhythm
And they join right in with him
It gets right down in your shoes
Singin’ the boogie board blues

I Beg You Tropic Sun (Larry W. Jones 11/18/2005) (song#3907)

I beg you, tropic sun
Make for her a rainbow please
And shade her with your fronds
Mister tall palm tree

Whisper to her a love song
Mister tradewind
And mister man with the moonlight
Shine my love for her to see

I beg you, tropic sun
Let her know that love will find a way
I know that you’re the one
Cause she’ll listen to what you say

Sing to her, island stream
That she shouldn’t stroll away or run
And see that she will share my dream
I beg you, tropic sun

Whisper to her a love song
Mister tradewind
And mister man with the moonlight
Shine my love for her to see

Sing to her, island stream
That she shouldn’t stroll away or run
And see that she will share my dream
I beg you, tropic sun

Island Kind Of Fling (Larry W. Jones 11/18/2005) (song#3908)

I found my island dream in Hawaii blue
It seemed that romance had come true
I found someone like I had never known
My head and heart were in some other zone
So, I just said Aloha, I love you

But all too soon you strolled away
And so did my dream that very day
That’s island love in Hawaii in the spring
And when the curtain fell
Tears in my eyes began to well
For it was only an island kind of fling

I found my island dream in Hawaii blue
It seemed that romance had come true
And when the curtain fell
Tears in my eyes began to well
But I still say Aloha, I love you

This sad song by the sea
I know it shouldn’t be
But that’s island love in Hawaii in the spring
The moonlight and the wine
Told me that you’d be mine
But it was only an island kind of fling

I found my island dream in Hawaii blue
It seemed that romance had come true
And when the curtain fell
Tears in my eyes began to well
But I still say Aloha, I love you

Til I Stroll Again With You (Larry W. Jones 11/18/2005) (song#3909)

Til I stroll again with you
And behold your island charms
To my dreams may you be true
So you can fill my empty arms

Until I kiss you as before
I’ll miss you in every part
Until I return to your shore
Your love will burn in my heart

I know it will break this heart of mine
To leave your isle where breezes blow
But I’ll take care of this love divine
For Aloha means I love you so

Til I stroll again with you
Hand in hand in soft moonlight
Vows to keep I make to you
My ship will see love’s guiding light

Til I stroll again with you
I’ll miss you in every part
And when I return to you
Never more will I ever part

I know it will break this heart of mine
To leave your isle where breezes blow
But I’ll take care of this love divine
For Aloha means I love you so
Til I stroll again with you

I Dreamed I Was King (Larry W. Jones 11/19/2005) (song#3910)

I dreamed I was king at the luau dance
I danced with the queen of Hawaii blue
She was a beauty under tropic skies
And when I looked deeply in her eyes
I realized the queen of Hawaii blue was you

I dreamed I was king of the bounding main
I sailed my ship through the gales and rain
When the lady pirate Anne Bonny came into view
She was so bold, I surrendered my gold
Somebody told me she looked just like you

I dreamed I was king of Mandalay
I conquered that place on Monday
A thousand women came strolling by
But only one there caught my eye
I made you my queen on Sunday

I dreamed I was the big kahuna
But I guess I dazed every island nation
I was in love and my mind was luna
But I gave it all up for you
Cause I’ll be king of the whole wide world
And every crazy dream will come true
The day you say you’ll be my island girl

Island With Love (Larry W. Jones 11/20/2005) (song#3911)

An island with love on it
Is a rich island indeed
Other things may not fit
But love is always in need

The little cottage may be old
And the cupboard may be bare
But its value is pure gold
When Aloha love is living there

An island with love on it
Is like the lehua in bloom
And everyone must admit
That love fills every room

So, sweetheart, I’ll commit
No matter, come what may
On an island with love on it
Is where you and I will stay

An island with love on it
Is like the lehua in bloom
And everyone must admit
That love fills every room

So, sweetheart, I’ll commit
No matter, come what may
On an island with love on it
Is where you and I will stay

Two Polynesian Eyes (Larry W. Jones 11/20/2005) (song#3912)

Tropical sun shines through the rain
Happiness takes the place of pain
Just as songbirds greet the morning dawn
You were there so sweet where roses grow
My life is now complete where breezes blow
Dreams would fade away if you were gone

I had lived in shadows all around me
Til you strolled by and made me see

Two polynesian eyes brought paradise
My whole world has a brand new start
You turned dark days into bluest skies
Your rainbow has shined upon my heart

Here on the isle, I found a way to smile
You dried the tears I could not disguise
So long it’s been for your love to win
The love I see in two polynesian eyes

Love is like a gentle island flower
It needs a home and a sheltered bower
So its tender petals will never close
And when it’s given thoughtful care
An island flower blooms so rare
Like a lovely June time tuberose

My heart needed to find a little sunshine
That’s what I found here by the sea

Two polynesian eyes brought paradise
My whole world has a brand new start
You turned dark days into bluest skies
Your rainbow has shined upon my heart

Here on the isle, I found a way to smile
You dried the tears I could not disguise
So long it’s been for your love to win
The love I see in two polynesian eyes

My Sunny Tahiti (Larry W. Jones 11/20/2005) (song#3913)

When shades of twilight come a-falling
Winds of trade I hear a-calling
And my thoughts can’t help but roam
Back to my Tahitian home sweet home

Every day my thoughts still wander
Back to my island folks down yonder
And though my heart grows fonder
I wonder if I’ll ever see them again

A sweet voice there I wanna hear
I’d like to look into her eyes
I wanna be back in Tahiti
Back in my island paradise

Where breakers roll I wanna stroll
Down among the tall palm trees again
I’d have cheery fun in the tropic sun
And life would not be dreary then

I’d go to sleep where tradewinds blow
And then tomorrow I’d arise, I know
Neath blue southern pacific skies
Where all the songbirds harmonize

Won’t somebody please hear my plea
Take me back to where I wanna be
To that tropic zone that I call my home
Way out at sea to my sunny Tahiti

Rock Me In The Cradle Of Aloha (Larry W. Jones 11/20/2005) (song#3914)

Somewhere on warm golden sand
Is where my future life is planned
On an island that is calling me

There sheltered safe from harm
Wrapped in a pair of loving arms
By the sea is where I long to be

Beneath a golden tropic moon
Any night is from the month of June
And all the world will seem so right

Beneath that velvet tropic sky
We’ll watch the stars as they go by
Rocked in the cradle of love at night

Rock me in the cradle of Aloha
May dreams come true of one I’m thinking of
Rock me in the cradle of Aloha
Where songs they sing are songs of love

I’ll have no regrets when I forget
All problems that now make me blue
Rock me in the cradle of Aloha
Where dreams I dream will all come true

Moanalani E (Larry W. Jones 11/21/2005) (song#3915)

Moanalani e
Come stroll with me tonight
The tradewind breeze will whisper
Please let him hold you tight

Moanalani e
You’re in my dreams both day and night
I see you everywhere, it seems
Even in the fire of tiki lights

And when you’re with me dancing
It’s no myth that there’s romancing
Mea Aloha, mea Aloha
And you’re so beguiling
Forever smiling
Moanalani e
I am so in love with you

Moanalani e
The music begins, I can hear it
Your love I must win, never fear it
Moanalani e, here beside the silver seas
Please, won’t you fall in love with me

Tradewinds And The Oceans Seven (Larry W. Jones 11/21/2005) (song#3916)

If you were to ask me my address
Here’s what I’d have to say, I guess
Tradewinds and the oceans seven

The mainland used to be my home
Before I found the urge to roam
Tradewinds and the oceans seven

Once I had a love and she loved me
Words we vowed ‘neath a cottonwood tree
Under a moon that winked his eye
We vowed that soon we’d be wed by June
But now I think that was just a lie

One day a stranger came into our town
He was bent on theft, you see
My love was gone when the sun went down
And the only one left was me

Well, I sailed away the very next day
With the tradewinds
If you were to ask me my address
Here’s what I’d have to say, I guess
Tradewinds and the oceans seven

If you were to ask me my address
Here’s what I’d have to say, I guess
Tradewinds and the oceans seven
(Tradewinds and the oceans seven)

Island Dreamer (Larry W. Jones 11/21/2005) (song#3917)

In a dream is where you and I met
I invited you to stroll by my side
It was a dream I just can’t forget
It seemed to come with the tide

True love in my life I had missed
Why I was blue was no surprise
But then when we softly kissed
My blue turned into paradise

True love is like something divine
Though sometimes hidden, it seems
But this love is yours and it’s mine
Somewhere in island love scenes

Now, to the one who created love
I beg this request of you
Grant to me from high up above
Can’t you make my dream come true

True love in my life I had missed
Why I was blue was no surprise
But then when we softly kissed
My blue turned into paradise

True love is like something divine
Though sometimes hidden, it seems
But this love is yours and it’s mine
Somewhere in island love scenes

Now, to the one who created love
I beg this request of you
Grant to me from high up above
Can’t you make my dream come true

Suddenly There’s An Island (Larry W. Jones 11/21/2005) (song#3918)

When you’ve sailed the widest ocean
And distant clouds hide island sand
Suddenly there’s an island
A new home for polynesian man

When storms arise and there’s no rainbow
And the ocean doesn’t seem like a friend
Suddenly there’s an island
Where Aloha and ohana love will never end

Blessed gently by the seasons
Rainbows shining through the rain
Birds of paradise give reasons
Why love true will there remain

So, when things don’t go as you planned
And you think tomorrow brings despair
Suddenly there’s an island
You’ll find love and hope are living there

Blessed gently by the seasons
Rainbows shining through the rain
Birds of paradise give reasons
Why love true will there remain

So, when things don’t go as you planned
And you think tomorrow brings despair
Suddenly there’s an island
You’ll find love and hope are living there

Suddenly there’s an island
You’ll find love and hope are living there

Under Clear Blue Tropic Skies (Larry W. Jones 11/22/2005) (song#3919)

I love to go a-sailing
Settin’ sails for outbound tack
As tradewinds blow, a song I’m hailing
Might never return back

I love the islands in the stream
They dance in the tropic sun
They call to me so joyously
With all the songs I’ve sung

My sailor’s hat I tip to greet
Island folks down by the sea
Birds of paradise sounding sweet
From every tall palm tree

Maybe I’ll go on a-sailing
From isle to isle until I die
With an island song I’m hailing
Under clear blue tropic skies

Under clear blue tropic skies

Maybe I’ll go on a-sailing
From isle to isle until I die
With an island song I’m hailing
Under clear blue tropic skies

Gonna Find Me An Island (Larry W. Jones 11/22/2005) (song#3920)

Gonna find me an island
Where they sing those love songs
To mend a heart that was broken
When you came along

Gonna find me a rainbow
And a pot of gold
Where the tradewinds blow true love
Or so I am told

I remember you said you needed me
And I remember how much I needed you
But then you looked for a chance to be free
Though I pleaded for your love to be true

Gonna find me an island
Where they sing those love songs
To mend a heart that was broken
When you came along

Gonna find me a rainbow
And a pot of gold
Where the tradewinds blow true love
Or so I am told

Gonna find me an island
Where they sing those love songs

Have You Forgotten Mine (Larry W. Jones 11/26/2005) (song#3921)

Sweet is the tradewind when it whispers love
Island love that’s of the truest kind
Now when you hear the tradewind’s words of love
Have you forgotten mine

The days have gone when I strolled with you
And you told me Aloha with your hand in mine
Now when you think of sand in Hawaii blue
Have you forgotten mine

Beneath tall palm trees in the tradewind breeze
I’ve thought a lot about the sands of time
Now all I’ve got are the tall palm trees
But I’ve never forgotten that you were mine

The days have gone that I knew as bliss
When all the world seemed so divine
Now when you surrender to another’s kiss
Have you forgotten mine

Have you already forgotten mine

Anchored At Waikiki Beach (Larry W. Jones 11/26/2005) (song#3922)

I started to sail down to Tahiti
Soon I anchored at Waikiki Beach
Under the moon, far from Tahiti
Wow, what a hula dance they teach

Tradewinds whispered, Aloha au ia ‘oe
And so my boat anchor stayed awhile
There I met a polynesian wahine
And we danced in Hawaiian hula style

So what, if I never get to Tahiti
Or sample Bora Bora’s atmosphere
I found paradise by the sea
In good old Waikiki waiting here

Tradewinds whispered, Aloha au ia ‘oe
And so my boat anchor stayed awhile
There I met a polynesian wahine
And we danced in Hawaiian hula style

I’ll save Tahiti for some future sails
Another day on southern reach
I’ve found where paradise prevails
In a hula dance at Waikiki Beach

All Around The World (Larry W. Jones 11/26/2005) (song#3923)

All around the world
Wherever the breakers bend and curl
I’m a sailor, and I’ll be found
Sailin’ around
All around the world

All around the world
Sailin’ north or south, east or west
Wherever I happen to think is best
Sailin’ around
All around the world

All around the whole wide world
Especially where islands call
Fun in the sun, can’t be outdone
Even when the weather decides to squall
I’m here, I’m there, wherever hurled
All around the world

All around the world
I adore every lovely shore
Someday I’ll find where the breakers curl
A lovely island girl
And she’ll be mine in the maritime
All around the world

Lonesome Island Melody (Larry W. Jones 11/26/2005) (song#3924)

A lonesome island melody
Is a symphony for only one
A lonesome island melody
For a dream that came undone

Island music with broken strings
Of a love that had to roam
Bird of paradise with broken wings
Unable to find its home

Like a ship drifting out at sea
Away from the safety of harbor lights
A lonesome island melody
On the tradewinds of darkest nights

Will she ever find the shore
Or will I have to cry some more
A lonesome island melody
Knocking on my door

A lonesome island melody
Is a symphony for only one
A lonesome island melody
For a dream that came undone

She strolled away one sunny morn
I found her perfumed note
She left me alone and so forlorn
I didn’t have to read between
Any of the lines she wrote

A lonesome island melody
Play a lonely theme here by the sea
A lonesome island melody
Play a lonely island theme for me

Hey Mr Ukulele (Larry W. Jones 11/27/2005) (song#3925)

Hey, Mr Ukulele
Play an island tune for me
Play, Mr Ukulele
A Jake Shimabukuro melody
We’ll all give you a hand
In our bare feet
We’ll keep hummin’ while you keep strummin’
That Jake Shimabukuro ukulele beat

Hey, Mr Ukulele
Play another grasshopper tune
Fast, Mr Ukulele
A showstopper under the moon
Let’s hear your ukulele talk
Show your fingers dancin’ across the strings
Do that Shimabukuro walk
Flow with the romancin’ your ukulele brings
Play, Mr Ukulele
A Jake Shimabukuro melody

Hey, Mr Ukulele
Play for us all here by the shore
Play, Mr Ukulele
Who could ever ask for more
Tropic stars sure have a pull
When the tropic moon is full
Keep strummin’ til you make that ukulele break
Hey, Mr Ukulele
Play, Mr Ukulele
A Jake Shimabukuro melody for me

Hawaiian Isles (Larry W. Jones 11/27/2005) (song#3926)

Hawaiian Isles
Never outdone is your reknown
Hawaiian Isles
Forever gold your sun goes down

In my youth
I climbed your mountain towers
And in truth
How beautiful your island flowers
Your sands, your shells, your songs
Your lovely valley bowers

Though once I said Aloha ‘oe farewell
Your call lead to my return
For I know and love you well, too well
Hawaiian Isles
I know and love you well, too well

Hawaiian Isles
Your shores the oceans gently kiss
And all the while
Love for you the more I reminisce
Hawaiian Isles
My isles where dreams come true

On The Beach At Waikiki (Larry W. Jones 11/27/2005) (song#3927)

Because of her, my heart is yearning
I refer to thoughts returning o’er the sea
Of a brown island maid I’m thinking, ever
And mem’ries of her will fade, no never

She looked so lovely in that paradise
That little island hula maiden
Because of her, my heart now sighs
For with love it’s surely laden

On the beach at Waikiki is where I met her
That little island girl who danced the hula
She was a beauty and I can’t forget her
My heart she entranced with her hula dance

Every lovely hula move, ‘neath a hula moon
Nobody could improve, there was no room
On the beach at Waikiki is where I met her
But I couldn’t stay, I had to sail away

On the beach at Waikiki we said Aloha ‘oe

Sweet Huahini Maid (Larry W. Jones 11/27/2005) (song#3928)

I’ll be returning to a little island far away
And I’ve decided that perhaps I’ll stay
I fell in love with an island maiden over there
And I know she’s waiting on Huahini, oh so fair
Close to tahiti is where I’ll be, and I’ll be…

Dreaming of her daily
As she plays the ukulele gaily
On that sunny Huahini shore
She’ll sing more love songs to me

I’ll be viewing tropic stars above me
When I ask her if she loves me
And I’ll be renewing the topic that love played
To that sweet Huahini maid who waits for me

This cold mainland gets so lonely
I miss the tradewinds off the sea
That used to bring such mem’ries there
And I know she’s waiting on Huahini, oh so fair
Close to tahiti is where I’ll be, and I’ll be…

Dreaming of her daily
As she plays the ukulele gaily
On that sunny Huahini shore
She’ll sing more love songs to me

I’ll be viewing tropic stars above me
When I ask her if she loves me
And I’ll be renewing the topic that love played
To that sweet Huahini maid who waits for me

Strolling On The Dream Island (Larry W. Jones 11/28/2005) (song#3929)

Strolling on the dream island
Watching tropic stars and moon above
I’ll ask them to help this lonely man
To find a way to have your love

Sleeping in my lonely room
All my dreams are of your charms
I wish my dreams were true, and soon
I would have you in my arms

I wish this lonely night would end
But then I’d still daydream of you
Strolling on the dream island
Where my dreams would all come true

Strolling on the dream island
You’re right there by my side, I find
And though it’s only make believe
I’ll make believe that I don’t mind

I wish this lonely night would end
But then I’d still daydream of you
Strolling on the dream island
Where my dreams would all come true

Strolling on the dream island
You’re right there by my side, I find
And though it’s only make believe
I’ll make believe that I don’t mind

And though it’s only make believe
I’ll make believe that I don’t mind

Aloha Oe Moon (Larry W. Jones 11/28/2005) (song#3930)

Aloha ‘oe moon, Aloha ‘oe stars
Aloha ‘oe and goodbye to island steel guitars
I’m sailing away, I’ll be sailing soon
Aloha ‘oe sweetheart
Aloha ‘oe moon

While I’m out at sea, don’t look for me
Just look out your cottage window and you’ll see
Aloha ‘oe moon
Shining down on you and me
Aloha ‘oe moon

Mahalo nui loa, I’m sure gonna miss you
I’ll be sailin’ when the night comes ’round
Even though I know I’ll wanna kiss you
Under that Aloha ‘oe moon I’ll not be found

While I’m out at sea, don’t look for me
Just look out your cottage window and you’ll see
Aloha ‘oe moon
Shining down on you and me
Aloha ‘oe moon

Aloha ‘oe moon, Aloha ‘oe stars
Aloha ‘oe and goodbye to island steel guitars
I’m sailing away, I’ll be sailing soon
Aloha ‘oe sweetheart
Aloha ‘oe moon

Paradise Ocean Cowboy (Larry W. Jones 11/28/2005) (song#3931)

The sun comes up in paradise
Finish my Kona cup which sure is nice
Before I sail that lonesome ocean road
Once more I’ve gotta go
Standing behind the captain’s wheel
A hundred feet of sheets and keel, with a sugar load
Headed for San Francisco
Day and night through the waves I’ve known
This life of sail won’t let me go

I’m a paradise ocean cowboy
Born to sail beneath the tropic stars
Sailin’ for a livin’ has lost its joy
So I just sail on seas afar
Til I can be back in your arms again
I’ll be sailin’ the ocean before the wind

Sometimes in the darkest night
I look at your picture in the foc’sle light
And it takes me back across the sea
To the one I miss, a sweetheart kiss
Waiting back on old Maui isle for me
Still, I sail this boat through the winds that blow
Cause this sailin’ life is the only life I know

I’m a paradise ocean cowboy
Born to sail beneath the tropic stars
Sailin’ for a livin’ has lost its joy
So I just sail on seas afar
Til I can be back in your arms again
I’ll be sailin’ the ocean before the wind

I’m a paradise ocean cowboy
Til I can be back in your arms again

Kiho’alu Island Band (Larry W. Jones 11/28/2005) (song#3932)

Waimanalo on a Saturday night
Sittin’ in the glow of the tiki lights
I was only ’bout eight years old
Up late with daddy listnin’ to K-POI radio
A live island band had just begun
My daddy said, that’s Gabby Pahinui, son

I heard the radio crowd a-screamin’
That’s when I started in a-dreamin’
Of one day playin’ in island sand
With a kiho’alu island band

Daddy bought me a slack key koa guitar
I grew up playin’ taro-patch under the stars
Formed a little band hoping to go far
Island girls would come from miles around
To hear us play that kiho’alu island band sound

I heard the radio crowd a-screamin’
That’s when I started in a-dreamin’
Of one day playin’ in island sand
With a kiho’alu island band

I went to Honolulu where they liked my tunes
We played all the hotels under the moon
Bought a big old house near Waimea Falls
Hung some gold records on the living room walls
Then I got to thinkin’ about it all
This life ain’t what it’s all a-seemin’
I’d rather be an eight year old boy a-dreamin’

I heard the radio crowd a-screamin’
That’s when I started in a-dreamin’
Of one day playin’ in island sand
With a kiho’alu island band

Whispering Tradewind (Larry W. Jones 11/28/2005) (song#3933)

As the whispering tradewind blew on by
A bird of paradise began to fly
As the whispering tradewind blew on by
I wondered about the coming storm
Would it be cold or warm
What would I do with a heart forlorn

What will I do since she flew away
The tiki fire is gone from moonlight bay
Oh, how I begged her not to go, but stay

Why did my bird of paradise fly
The whispering tradewind told a lie
It broke my heart and she made me cry
I thought the whispering tradewind was my friend

What will I do since she flew away
The tiki fire is gone from moonlight bay
Oh, how I begged her not to go, but stay

As the whispering tradewind blew on by
A bird of paradise began to fly
As the whispering tradewind blew on by
I heard it whisper Aloha ‘oe goodbye

Heartsongs Of The Tradewind (Larry W. Jones 11/28/2005) (song#3934)

Listen to the tradewind
Listen respectfully
You’ll hear soft notes begin
If peace is on your mind
And love is in your heart
You’ll hear a heartsong from above
A tradewind song of love
That will play just as long as…

As long as you love peace and harmony
And love
As long as you love peace and harmony
And love

And if you hear that tradewind song
You’re bound to remember it’s words so true
And when you do
You’ve found something good for others too
And they’ll remember when
They first heard heartsongs of the tradewind

As long as they love peace and harmony
And love
As long as they love peace and harmony
And love

Listen to the tradewind
Listen respectfully
You’ll hear soft notes begin
If peace is on your mind
And love is in your heart
You’ll hear a heartsong from above
A tradewind song of love

O’ahu a Lua (Larry W. Jones 11/29/2005) (song#3935)

Diamond Head shows the way
To the Gathering Place, Honolulu Bay
O’ahu a Lua, beautiful child of the polynesian sea

Manoa is the valley of the rainbow
Where the sun shines its beauty down below
O’ahu a Lua, your beauty is for all to see

Hanauma Bay is a pleasure to the eye
Humuhumunukunukuapua’a goes swimming by
O’ahu a Lua, a paradise eternally

O’ahu is the island ancient polynesians knew
From Ka’ena Point to the cliffs of Makapu’u
Love for O’ahu is found in island ways
Aloha is still around there every day

Waimea Bay is on the isle’s North Shore
Waimanalo Bay is another to adore
O’ahu a Lua, land of tall palm trees

Ha’ina ‘ia mai ka puana la
Let the refrain be told
Of O’ahu a Lua
Beautiful child of the Polynseian sea

I Have Loved You For A Time (Larry W. Jones 11/29/2005) (song#3936)

For such a long, long time I’ve loved you
And nobody else, that I know
Nobody else will know but you alone
My love for you is safe here in my heart
It’s always been like that from the start
Darling, I have loved you for a time
A time that’s long, oh, so long

Every night I look up at the stars
And my heart cries over you
I never knew that love could be so strong
And when I see the sun arise
It warms my love for you in paradise
Darling, I have loved you for a time
A time that’s long, oh, so long

Maybe time will see us stroll along a shore
Where you and I will meet again
And a door of love will open with a song
Then one sweet kiss from you, dear
Will chase away my loneliness fear
Darling, I have loved you for a time
A time that’s long, oh, so long

In the meantime, I’ll just pretend
That soon this dreaming will end
And that nothing can go wrong
And as I watch the ebbing tide
I turn to see you standing by my side
Darling, I have loved you for a time
A time that’s long, oh, so long

Good Island Day To Ride (Larry W. Jones 11/29/2005) (song#3937)

In the mornin’ when I wake up
I fill up my Kona coffee cup
And I look at all the sugar cane fields
On this island that I call home
I don’t think it’s gonna rain
It’s another quiet island day
I’ll get my paddle and my canoe
And down on the bay I’ll be gone

It’s a good island day to ride
Beneath this warm tropic sun
It’s a good island day to ride
In my canoe with the flowing tide
It’s a good day in paradise
Under the blaze of tropic skies
It’s a good island day to ride

Let the world run its fast rat race
I don’t need their money or fame
Here on the isle it’s a slower pace
And life here has a different aim
I don’t need a change of scene
And I won’t be in a traffic jam
Living out here, I’m no machine
And I can figure out who I am

It’s a good island day to ride
Beneath this warm tropic sun
It’s a good island day to ride
In my canoe with the flowing tide
It’s a good day in paradise
Under the blaze of tropic skies
It’s a good island day to ride

Wild Island Flower (Larry W. Jones 11/29/2005) (song#3938)

She’s a wild island flower
She wants to count all the stars in the sky
And make a wish they all understand
Strollin’ in the sand in paradise
She’s got forever at her command

She’s a wild island flower
With roots down Waimanalo Road
She’s a wild island flower
Just needs a little room to grow
Let Manoa Valley rainbow colors show
She’s a wild island flower

She wants to loose every tie that binds
She wants to fly to the sky
Try everything new that she finds
Don’t ask for a reason why
She wants to be what she can be
See every island in the sea

She’s a wild island flower
With roots down Waimanalo Road
She’s a wild island flower
Just needs a little room to grow
Let Manoa Valley rainbow colors show
She’s a wild island flower
With roots down Waimanalo Road

Why I Live In Paradise (Larry W. Jones 11/29/2005) (song#3939)

Mainland friends think I’m funny
To live on an island in the sea
One thing they don’t understand
Is the way of life here in the sand
They’ve never seen an island sunrise
Like I see every day in paradise
Never seen a rainbow shine
Like mine in Manoa Valley skies

Life here is easy on the mind
I can smell the tuberose in bloom
With a cast net and a fishin’ line
There’s no room for sad or gloom
Go to the luau and the hula show
Raise up kids where it’s fun to grow
Hang ten loose in the summertime
Listen with my woman to Maui chimes
When the tropic moon is in your eyes
You’ll know why I live in paradise

You ain’t lived til you’ve seen tropic nights
Campfire on the beach and tiki lights
Island livin’ is livin’ right

So, I guess right here is where I’ll be
No shoes, no shirt livin’ by the sea
You can come to visit me on the isle
Back on the mainland ain’t my style
I’ll play my guitar and sing my songs
You can count stars and sing along
And when I die you can bury me
Happy as can be here by the sea

Waltz Me To The Islands (Larry W. Jones 11/30/2005) (song#3940)

It’s been a long long while
Since we’ve been on the isle
And I think it’s time to get away
Let’s put on a record and dance
Make believe it’s island romance
It feels good to hold you this way

The tiki lights are burning low
Steel guitars are playing slow
To the beautiful Honolulu Waltz
Just how many island love songs
On how many lovely shores
Have couples like us danced across

You’re my island angel in disguise
So, waltz me to the islands tonight
Across the waves to paradise
Waltz me to the islands tonight

Waltz me to the islands tonight
The moon is just about to rise
I see stars already in your eyes
Waltz me to the islands tonight

Your heavenly body feels so right
Waltz me to the islands tonight
The moon is just about to rise
I see stars already in your eyes
Waltz me to the islands tonight
Waltz me to the islands tonight

Burn That Tiki Light (Larry W. Jones 12/02/2005) (song#3941)

Keep that tiki light burning bright
I’ll be returning to the isle tonight
To see that yellow moon up above
Shining down on the one I love

Burn that tiki light
Turn it up down by the bay
Burn that tiki light
Let it light up love’s way

Keep that cottage door open wide
Until we stroll through it side by side
And keep that tiki light burning high
For me and my island sugar pie

Burn that tiki light
Turn it up down by the bay
Burn that tiki light
Let it light up love’s way

Here where the tradewinds are flowing
We’ll be looking for that tiki light glowing
After our island beach wedding
To that tiki light we’ll be heading
So, before we come strolling home tonight
Keep that tiki light burning bright

Back Home (Larry W. Jones 12/02/2005) (song#3942)

Travel to the east, travel to the west
But you’ll return to your own island home
The bird of paradise is waiting there for you
Back home in your own tropic zone

Travel the earth searching for a dream
Go to places you’ve never been before
But they’ll never match the scene
Seen through your island cottage door

Travel to the east, travel to the west
But someday you’ll return
To that island home you know is best

You may be weary in your heart
By the time you get back home
You’ll vow to never more depart
Back home in your own tropic zone

You’ll find that happiness lies
Under those blue Pacific skies
Back home in your own tropic zone
Back home on your isle of paradise

Travel to the east, travel to the west
But someday you’ll return
To that island home you know is best

You may be weary in your heart
By the time you get back home
You’ll vow to never more depart
Back home in your own tropic zone

You’ll find that happiness lies
Under those blue Pacific skies
Back home in your own tropic zone
Back home on your isle of paradise

One And Only (Larry W. Jones 12/04/2005) (song#3943)

Well, I saw the sun come up this morning
With that dream still fresh inside my head
Like yesterday, It came with no warning
And I knew that tomorrow’s love had fled
Then, to the small boat harbor I strolled on down
Breakfast is lonely by yourself in old Lahaina town

I’d spent yesterday trying to find an answer
Why she left from Kahului on that plane
Now I sit here all alone and missing her
And this paradise won’t ever be the same
Now I feel like I’m the only island clown
Sure is lonely by yourself in old Lahaina town

I strolled down to the harbor boardwalk
Wishing to find someone with whom to talk
But it might as well have been no one around
Cause there’s something about an island
When you’re the one and only
Lonely one in old Lahaina town

In the cannery mall I saw a couple
Who looked like they were happy as could be
And all those mainland tourist people
Were living their island dream instead of me
Now, I know what it feels like when you’re down
When you’re by yourself in old Lahaina town

There’s something missing here in paradise
Lips for kissing and polynesian eyes
I realize when I see the sun going down
Cause there’s something about an island
When you’re the one and only
Lonely one in old Lahaina town

Embraceable Arms (Larry W. Jones 12/05/2005) (song#3944)

I held you in my arms, thrilled to your charms
Embraceable arms, warm with love, angel from above
Hold me in your embraceable arms

With Maui chimes ringing, tropic breezes singing
Embraceable arms, come to me, enfold me eternally
Hold me in your embraceable arms

Sweet island miss, across blue waves of foam
Isle of bliss, this new place is now my home

You captured my heart, pretty rose of old Maui
Embraceable arms, held with care, meld of visions rare
Hold me in your embraceable arms

(Embraceable arms, thrilled to your charms)

Sweet island miss, across blue waves of foam
Isle of bliss, this new place is now my home

With Maui chimes ringing, tropic breezes singing
Embraceable arms, come to me, enfold me eternally
Hold me in your embraceable arms

I held you in my arms (embraceable arms, thrilled to your charms)
Embraceable arms (warm with love, angel from above)
Embraceable arms (warm with love)
Hold me in you (embraceable arms)

Isle Of Sweet Romance (Larry W. Jones 12/05/2005) (song#3945)

Out where steel guitars softly play
Our meeting happened just by chance
Although I had to go, in dreams I often stray
Back to that isle of sweet romance

When twilight would shade the shelt’ring palms
It made a scene I’ll not forget
And when you let me hold you in my arms
That dream in my mind and heart is set

But it was just a dream
That ended all too soon
Out where steel guitars softly play
And lovers sway beneath the moon

Although I had to go, in dreams I often stray
Back to that isle of sweet romance

When twilight would shade the shelt’ring palms
It made a scene I’ll not forget
And when you let me hold you in my arms
That dream in my mind and heart is set

But it was just a dream
That ended all too soon
Out where steel guitars softly play
And lovers sway beneath the moon

Like Rhythms Of The Sea (Larry W. Jones 12/05/2005) (song#3946)

The moon tonight, Leilani
Shines with such a lovely hue
Your kiss and mine, of Aloha
Means Aloha au ia ‘oe, I love you

I can hear the tradewinds sighing
Leilani, come to me
Love begins without us trying
Like rhythms of the sea

The moon up in the tropic skies
Looks up to the heavenly stars
And wonders why such paradise
Isn’t down here where you are

I can hear the tradewinds sighing
Leilani, come to me
Love begins without us trying
Like rhythms of the sea

Dream sweet, my sweet Leilani
Til sunlight warms the morning dew
Til again we meet, Leilani
Aloha au ia ‘oe, I love you

All That I’d Require (Larry W. Jones 12/05/2005) (song#3947)

To spend a lifetime with you
On an island just for two
To love our whole life through
That’s all that I’d require

To stroll where breezes play
Where waves roll to the bay
For a lifetime and a day
That’s all that I’d require

We’ll make pineapple wine
And while we bake kalua til it’s fine
I’ll taste your ruby lips
So we won’t waste the time

I’ll whisper to you low
And you must say it’s time for us to go
To where soft tradewinds blow
That’s all that I’d require

We’ll make pineapple wine
And while we bake kalua til it’s fine
I’ll taste your ruby lips
So we won’t waste the time

I’ll whisper to you low
And you must say it’s time for us to go
To where soft tradewinds blow
That’s all that I’d require

Let It Blow Let It Blow (Larry W. Jones 12/05/2005) (song#3948)

The weather outside’s delightful
And the tiki fires they’re lighting
Oh, the tradewind is soft and low
Let it blow, let it blow, let it blow

Well, let’s go island hopping
We’ll do some Ala Moana shopping
Til the tiki lights are burning low
Let it blow, let it blow, let it blow

When we kiss each other tonight
Aloha love will be the norm
Let’s don’t miss the soft moonlight
While tradewind is blowing warm

By the time the tiki fires are dying
You and I will be paradise-ing
Cause the tradewind just told me so
Let it blow, let it blow, let it blow

When we kiss each other tonight
Aloha love will be the norm
Let’s don’t miss the soft moonlight
While tradewind is blowing warm

By the time the tiki fires are dying
You and I will be paradise-ing
Cause the tradewind just told me so
Let it blow, let it blow, let it blow

Hawaiian Cowboy Blues (Larry W. Jones 12/06/2005) (song#3949)

Well, I feel so lonesome here by the sea
When I hear that tradewind moan
It’s been that way since she left me
And I jumped that ship so far from home

I roamed around old Lahaina town
And the rest of the fiftieth state, Hawaii blue
My lovin’ woman done let me down
And I’m singin’ Hawaiian cowboy blues

I’m just a stranger who needs a friend
But I can’t find a conversation to engage
There’s no dream blowin’ in the tradewind
I’m just a mystery book without a page

I tune up my koa guitar in paradise
Head for the hotel and my big debut
I’m lookin’ for stars in someone’s eyes
And I’m singin’ Hawaiian cowboy blues

This might be where I’ll settle down
Here on this island in the sea
Maybe a new love will come around
And maybe she’ll be true to me

I tune up my koa guitar in paradise
Head for the hotel and my big debut
I’m lookin’ for stars in someone’s eyes
And I’m singin’ Hawaiian cowboy blues
Yeah, I’m singin’ Hawaiian cowboy blues

Kaanapali Maui Rose (Larry W. Jones 12/06/2005) (song#3950)

When the van from Kaanapali Maui Rose
Stops by your door today
And leaves a flower tied with a ribbon of blue
You’ll think of yesterday, I suppose
And the love you threw away
In this red Maui rose I’m sending to you

A new red Maui rose sent to old Lahaina town
The one I chose that meant you let me down
I ordered it from here in my lonely world
With the note, a blue ribbon curled around
A new red Maui rose sent to old Lahaina town

My new red Maui rose will not your mansion fill
For I’m sure you have roses all around
But the tradewind knows that I love you still
In this new red Maui rose sent to old Lahaina town

A new red Maui rose sent to old Lahaina town
The one I chose that meant you let me down
I ordered it from here in my lonely world
With the note, a blue ribbon curled around
A new red Maui rose sent to old Lahaina town

One Of These Days (Larry W. Jones 12/06/2005) (song#3951)

One of these days
You’ll be feeling lonely
One of these days
You’ll be blue in Hawaii blue
One of these days
You’ll be so downhearted
That you’ll know my love for you was true

One of these days
You’ll be strolling by the sea
One of these days
You’ll be thinking of me too
And when you do, I’ll send you leis
To show that my love’s still true

One of these days
You’ll be feeling lonely
Nobody to paddle your canoe
One of these days
You’ll see that Manoa rainbow
Means my Aloha on Oahu

One of these days
Or maybe in the night time
Tradewinds will tell you I still care
One of these days
From the islands I’ll hear your call
And when I do, that’s all I’ll need
To return to your love there

My Ku’u Ipo’s Love (Larry W. Jones 12/06/2005) (song#3952)

I see my Ku’u ipo in every ray of tropic sunlight
I see my Ku’u ipo in rainbows by the waterfall
I see her strolling in the polynesian moonlight
And I hear her name when soft tradewinds call

I’ve told all the birds of paradise
And Duke Kahanamoku’s statue too
Of the love in my Ku’u ipo’s eyes
And that I know her love is true

My heart would break like waves upon the reef
If my Ku’u ipo withdrew her love from me
But each day when I awake I find relief
In my Ku’u ipo’s love here by the sea

I’ve told all the birds of paradise
And Duke Kahanamoku’s statue too
Of the love in my Ku’u ipo’s eyes
And that I know her love is true

My heart would break like waves upon the reef
If my Ku’u ipo withdrew her love from me
But each day when I awake I find relief
In my Ku’u ipo’s love here by the sea

Please Say Aloha (Larry W. Jones 12/06/2005) (song#3953)

Please say Aloha, not goodbye
Cause my love for you won’t be far behind
Every flaming star in paradise
Will remind you just how warm is mine

In the pots of gold at Manoa rainbows
And everywhere else the tradewind blows
You’ll find lots of love untold to try
Please say Aloha, not goodbye

And when you lay yourself down to dream
You’ll see visions of someone who looks like me
And then you’ll know it’s you whom I esteem
Like a precious jewel found along the sea

You’re everything I’d ever want you to be
So, in your heart keep a place for me
And forever I’ll stroll by your side
Please say Aloha, not goodbye

You’re everything I’d ever want you to be
So, in your heart keep a place for me
And forever I’ll stroll by your side
Please say Aloha, not goodbye
Please say Aloha, not goodbye

Your Letter (Larry W. Jones 12/06/2005) (song#3954)

Alone by the shore I go dreaming
Of yesterday in this tropical zone
Your love was more than pennies from Heaven
More than any I’ve ever known

And now I see that time is against me
For tomorrow I board and set sail
And in sorrow I’ll go out to sea, dear
With your letter I got in the mail

Tuberoses here live for the sunshine
Birds of paradise where tradewinds blow
My poor heart will never forget you
Didn’t you know that I loved you so

And now I see that time is against me
For tomorrow I board and set sail
And in sorrow I’ll go out to sea, dear
With your letter I got in the mail

I saw a dream when you touched me
Neath the tropical stars that first night
Your hand in mine meant so much to me
You filled my lonely heart with delight

And now I see that time is against me
For tomorrow I board and set sail
And in sorrow I’ll go out to sea, dear
With your letter I got in the mail

My West Maui Childhood (Larry W. Jones 12/06/2005) (song#3955)

Back on the Maui isle of my childhood
When the tradewind was quiet and still
I’d listen for the hounds as close as I could
With daddy hunting in the west Maui hills

I returned to my old west Maui home
On Pauwela road where I lived
No light in the window, so long I roamed
No light to guide me on up the hill

Too soon my childhood days were behind
And I left from my west Maui home
I returned to see what things I could find
But I found that my west Maui childhood was gone

High in the hills of old west Maui isle
Stands a cottage full of glad memories
I returned thinking I’d stay for awhile
Sad, but no light in the window did I see

Too soon my childhood days were behind
And I left from my west Maui home
I returned to see what things I could find
But I found that my west Maui childhood was gone

I Am For Evermore (Larry W. Jones 12/07/2005) (song#3956)

I am Hawaii nei, I am for evermore
For always will I be here for you
I am Hawaii nei, paradise now as before
Islands where dreams come true

The gentle rain that you find here
Makes rainbows for all to see
And Aloha love will banish tears
For Aloha will last for eternity

Come to my shores in peaceful seas
Come and dream your dreams with me
Welcome all dreamers, come what may
I am Hawaii nei, I am for evermore

I am Hawaii nei, mountains, valleys, bowers
Tradewinds caress my lovely flowers
Welcome you lovers, come stroll today
I am Hawaii nei, I am for evermore

Welcome you lovers, come stroll today
I am Hawaii nei, I am for evermore

Tropic Island Home (Larry W. Jones 12/07/2005) (song#3957)

Not a worry have I any, my mind is free from care
Ain’t got a penny that I could call my own
But I don’t need money to plead I’m a millionaire
Cause what I own is a tropic island home

I greet my friends with Aloha, one and all
Just like a king in an island tropic zone
Don’t need a castle, got my cottage small
It’s my little mansion, my tropic island home

I’ve sailed all the oceans, every port and bay
Seen mainland cities where everyone’s alone
It ain’t that I’m braggin’, but I just have to say
I’m proud to be an island boy from a tropic zone

There’s a sweet wahine where the tradewinds blow
I’m gonna marry her for all the love she’s shown
I’ll save my money to buy her a brand new trousseau
And true Aloha we’ll apply in our tropic island home

There’s a sweet wahine where the tradewinds blow
I’m gonna marry her for all the love she’s shown
I’ll save my money to buy her a brand new trousseau
And true Aloha we’ll apply in our tropic island home

Hawaiian Steel Guitar Rag (Larry W. Jones 12/07/2005) (song#3958)

Been strollin’ around
In old Lahaina town
Now I ain’t the kind of guy
To go and brag
But I know you’ll agree
That here by the sea
Nothing beats that old
Hawaiian steel guitar rag

And when that steel slides
Along six strings
You’ll be transfixed
But your feet won’t drag
Deep down in your heart
You’ll hear it sing
When they play that old
Hawaiian steel guitar rag

Well, some songs will make
You cry In your beer
So, listen along and
Your tears will disappear
Cause this one has got
That cheerful island tag
It’s called that old
Hawaiian steel guitar rag

O Mahinalani Poepoe (Larry W. Jones 12/07/2005) (song#3959)

O mahinalani poepoe
Heavenly moon, so full tonight
O mahinalani poepoe
Heavenly is your silvery light

A heavenly pathway to the stars
Ka mahina o Hoku
Our love ascends to where you are
O mahinalani poepoe
Heavenly moon of Hawaii nei

Moonlight through tall palm trees
Lovelight meant for lovers’ pleas
O mahinalani poepoe
Your silvery light will lead the way

Waikiki beach in the soft moonlight
Waves crooning a lullaby
Ka mahina o Hoku stars so bright
Night for lovers, you and I

O mahinalani poepoe
Heavenly moon of Hawaii nei

Sailor Jack (Larry W. Jones 12/07/2005) (song#3960)

Jack was a lonely sailor
His heart was brave and true
He loved a dusky maiden
Over in Hawaii blue
They had such love for each other
They’d be married by the bay
But sailor Jack had duty
So he left and sailed away

He joined a crew of whalers
They said he almost went insane
For out on the lonely ocean
He could not forget her name
When the whaling work was over
And the ship was under way
Someone said to sailor Jack
A song will drive your cares away

Jack left the ship one morning
Whis’pring his darling’s name
He’d go to her Maui cottage
Tell her his love was still the same
When he reached old Lahaina
He found a new made grave
And the folks there told him
Your darling was true and brave

Your darling waits for you, Jack
Your ku’u ipo, brave and true
Just outside old Lahaina town
Over in Hawaii blue

Neath Stars On Hawaii’s Shore (Larry W. Jones 12/07/2005) (song#3961)

At one time I was so lonely
Now I live for your love only
Our new love we’ll both explore
Neath stars on Hawaii’s shore

At one time my heart I felt only pain
Now it will never feel that way again
Because of the one I so adore
Neath stars on Hawaii’s shore

In skies above and the sea below
The tradewind with love did blow
Whis’pring tales of Hawaiian lore
Neath stars on Hawaii’s shore

Birds of paradise cruise the air
Bringing news of love without a care
Who could ever ask for more
Neath stars on Hawaii’s shore

Bare feet toeing the soft warm sand
Strolling together hand in hand
Should have been here long before
Neath stars on Hawaii’s shore

Some Old Hawaiian Songs (Larry W. Jones 12/07/2005) (song#3962)

How I love those island melodies they’re playing
Paradise is heard in all those old island songs
The tropic stars come out to hear the singing
And some old Hawaiian songs keep playin’ on

Oh, I’m thinking tonight of Blue Hawaii
One that’s been around since 1937
It made old Bing Crosby and Elvis Presley
Make us all want to go to Hawaii heaven

Lydia Lili’uokalani was still an ali’i princess
When she rode away from old Kaneohe
The mele that she composed is still priceless
And all Hawaiians know it as Aloha ‘oe

Charles E. King is a Hawaiian music legend
Na Lei o Hawai’i, Na Lei o Hawai’i, e o mai
That Song Of The Islands will never end
As long as Hawaiian music fills the sky

Gabby Pahinui came from humble Kaka’ako
He was the master of slack key guitar
Pu’u Anahulu, Aloha Ka Manini, Ipo lei Manu
Made Gabby Pahunui a slack key star

Steel guitar is the sweetest sound ever heard
Sol Ho’opii and Jerry Byrd are only two names
Most of them never lived to hear the word
They’re in the Hawaiian Steel Guitar Hall Of Fame

How I love those island melodies they’re playing
Paradise is heard in all those old island songs
The tropic stars come out to hear the singing
And some old Hawaiian songs keep playin’ on

I Heard Birds Of Paradise Sing (Larry W. Jones 12/08/2005) (song#3963)

I met a girl there on the isle
Who gave my lonely heart its only smile
She was the beauty of island spring
And in her polynesian eyes
Were reflections of paradise
And I heard birds of paradise sing
They sang of asking (asking if I loved her)
And would she marry (marry if I asked her)
There on that island shore
And would she ‘ere be lonely (not if I love her only)
And in times of sadness (I’d be near to cheer her)
But, will you always (love her through stormy weather)
Until time itself is nevermore

I courted her for quite a long time
Until one day she promised to be mine
We planned a seaside wedding in the spring
Through the months I dreamed of sugar plums
I thought that day would never come
And I heard birds of paradise sing
They sang of patience (wait for the island flowers)
And of building (building a lovers bower)
Til the birds of paradise (sings of a Hawaiian wedding)
There on that island shore
When we went strolling (strolling in the sunshine)
I kept list’ning (list’ning for the tradewind)
That was blowing (flowing o’er the brine)
That whispered she’d be mine

Finally island spring arrived on time
And we were married to the sound of Maui chimes
Our seaside wedding was a wondrous thing
Now, many years have come and gone
But our sacred love is still as strong
And we heard birds of paradise sing
They sing of true love (Aloha love each hour)
And of marriage (to my island flower)
And of happiness (the sun will never set)
As the sunshine on the day we met
Now our hair is silver (but our love is golden)
As our mem’ries wander (our love grows ever fonder)
She’ll be my sweetheart (sweetheart on this shore)
Until time itself is nevermore

Good Old Fashioned Island Love (Larry W. Jones 12/08/2005) (song#3964)

There’s a certain kind of love I’m looking for
If they make it anymore, I’ll find it on that shore
I don’t want just a pretty smile
Cause pretty soon might be for just a little while

I want a well constructed, well conducted
Good old fashioned island love
The kind that holds together, strolls together
Underneath the moon above
I want a well constructed, well conducted
Good old fashioned island love

That kind of love might be a rarity to find
But I’m not asking for charity, popularity
Just sincerity and true love combined
That’s the kind of love I’m looking for

I want a well constructed, well conducted
Good old fashioned island love
The kind that holds together, strolls together
Underneath the moon above
I want a well constructed, well conducted
Good old fashioned island love

I want a well constructed, well conducted
Good old fashioned island love

Sailor In The Heart (Larry W. Jones 12/08/2005) (song#3965)

There’s a sailor in the heart of every man
And there’s always been one inside of me
To be a castaway in way off island sand
Where the ocean rolls on the seven seas

The ocean rolls, rolls on the seven seas
And wherever that ocean rolls
That’s where I’ve got to be
Roll, ocean roll, until you come around
To Maui isle and old Lahaina town

Roll, ocean roll, until you reach palm trees
Go, sailor go, find your home upon the seas
Roll, ocean roll, roll on for me

There’s a sailor in the heart of every man
And there’s always been one inside of me
To be a castaway in way off island sand
Where the ocean rolls on the seven seas

The ocean rolls, rolls on the seven seas
And wherever that ocean rolls
That’s where I’ve got to be
Roll, ocean roll, until you come around
To Maui isle and old Lahaina town

Tropic Troubador (Larry W. Jones 12/08/2005) (song#3966)

The tropic troubador sings strolling under the stars
He sings love songs where the tradewinds blow
Listen as he plays the strings of his koa guitar
On the stage alone under the tiki lights glow

His songs are for a past love that he loved so true
She used to love him too, before someone new
The tropic troubador has style, he still smiles
While his heart is slowly breaking in two

The crowd on the beach begs him for more
He sings love songs where the tradewinds blow
Listen as he plays the strings of his koa guitar
On the stage alone under the tiki lights glow

Then there’s a kind of hush as tradewinds softly call
Some hearts are happy, but in one, teardrops fall
Somewhere in the crowd, someone’s head is bowed
And her heart cries as the tropic troubador gives it his all
Because, tropic troubador, you have broken her heart
You have broken her heart most of all, tropic troubador

Crying For The Maritimes (Larry W. Jones 12/08/2005) (song#3967)

Mainland, you called me in
Mainland, then you walled me in
Some folks will never say adios to you
But I just never felt that close to you
Mainland, I suppose it’s time to say goodbye
And return to islands I once knew

I’ve still got those tunes in my heart
That rhymes with Maui chimes
It’s not so very hard to see what’s calling me
Crying for the maritimes
Where are those waves
That kiss the shore a million times
It’s not so very hard to see what’s calling me
Crying for the maritimes
I’ve found nothing here to smile about
There’s no use in hanging ’round
Only one place that’s worthwhile about
Banging ’round old Lahaina town
Where is that wahine I once knew
Over where the tropic moon still shines
It’s not so very hard to see what’s calling me
Crying for the maritimes

This old mainland has walled me in
But old Maui isle has called me to return again
Since I left, I’ve had nothing but regret
I’ve sung the blues on every corner that I’ve met
Maui isle, my Maui isle, I’ll get back to you yet

I’ve still got those tunes in my heart
That rhymes with Maui chimes
It’s not so very hard to see what’s calling me
Crying for the maritimes
Where are those waves
That kiss the shore a million times
It’s not so very hard to see what’s calling me
Crying for the maritimes
I’ve found nothing here to smile about
There’s no use in hanging ’round
Only one place that’s worthwhile about
Banging ’round old Lahaina town
Where is that wahine I once knew
Over where the tropic moon still shines
It’s not so very hard to see what’s calling me
Crying for the maritimes

Moonlighting With My Shadow (Larry W. Jones 12/08/2005) (song#3968)

When it’s moonlight on the ocean
At night I wish that I were there with you
But I’m alone moonlighting with my shadow
Dreaming of the island times we knew
We were to wed at harvest moon
That’s what you said
But all too soon my dream had fled
Now I’m alone moonlighting and blue

When it’s moonlight on the ocean
I wonder if you’re moonlighting too
We were to wed at harvest moon
That’s what you said
But now that tune is oh, so blue
And my dream has fled
When it’s moonlight on the ocean
I wonder if you’re moonlighting too

When it’s moonlight on the ocean
At night I wish that I were there with you
But I’m alone moonlighting with my shadow
Dreaming of the island times we knew

When it’s moonlight on the ocean
I wonder if you’re moonlighting too
We were to wed at harvest moon
That’s what you said
But now that tune is oh, so blue
And my dream has fled
When it’s moonlight on the ocean
I wonder if you’re moonlighting too

Heavenly To Me (Larry W. Jones 12/08/2005) (song#3969)

If the birds of paradise sang as sweet as you
Then their little tweet would be sweeter in Hawaii blue
For your song of love is heavenly to me

If the man in the moon winked as nice as you
I think he’d know why I’m in paradise
Where dreams come true
Cause my heart’s in sync with your heavenly view

I may never be a king or a brave
But the thing is, I’d gladly be your slave
And you could be my island queen
Cause when I heard that serenade from island sand
It occured to me that an island maid
Would need an island man
And I’ll concede that I need a dream come true

If the birds of paradise sang as sweet as you
Then their little tweet would be sweeter in Hawaii blue
For your song of love is heavenly to me

If the man in the moon winked as nice as you
I think he’d know why I’m in paradise
Where dreams come true

Isle Of Capri (Larry W. Jones 12/08/2005) (song#3970)

I met her on the isle of Capri
And told her that I’d love her eternally
There by the garden wall beside her door

We kissed one time and then one time again
For I had to sail upon the sea
And I left her there upon the shore

The ship’s bell rang out upon the sea
And I saw her wipe away a tear for me
Until I return, my heart will yearn
For the girl I left on the isle of Capri

We kissed one time and then one time again
For I had to sail upon the sea
And I left her there upon the shore

The ship’s bell rang out upon the sea
And I saw her wipe away a tear for me
Until I return, my heart will yearn
For the girl I left on the isle of Capri

Until I return, my heart will yearn
For the girl I left on the isle of Capri

Call Me Ku’u Ipo (Larry W. Jones 12/09/2005) (song#3971)

Call me Ku’u ipo, call me darlin’
You can even call me dear
Thrill me with Aloha au ia ‘oe
Just say, I love you, in my ear

In your polynesian eyes
I see someone smiling, and it’s me
I’d like to hear your lips say, every day
That you’ll be mine eternally

My darling, here in Hawaii blue
If my dreams could only come true
Then you and I would meet
At a discreet little rendezvous
And I’d know that paradise
Is in your dark brown eyes

Call me Ku’u ipo, call me darlin’
You can even call me dear
Thrill me with Aloha au ia ‘oe
Just say, I love you, in my ear

In your polynesian eyes
I see someone smiling, and it’s me
I’d like to hear your lips say, every day
That you’ll be mine eternally

Just Another Opportunity (Larry W. Jones 12/09/2005) (song#3972)

Just another opportunity
For your sweet love for me to bask in
Each night I find myself in need of askin’
For just another opportunity

Just another tropic night
To stroll with you down by the seaside
There’s not another thing I need besides
Just another opportunity

We should be in unity
I know that I could win your trust
And all I need from you is just
Another opportunity

If you would just say the word
Then I would never doubt it
From my heart I’d even shout it
I’d be glad if I just had
Another opportunity

This island was made for happiness
That’s what I once had but tossed it away
My life since then has only loneliness
And now my heart knows what it is to pay
I have swallowed all my pride
And I’ve got nothing more to hide
Just another opportunity
My heart has no immunity
Just another opportunity
Is all I need to prove my love is true

Just another tropic night
To stroll with you down by the seaside
There’s not another thing I need besides
Just another opportunity

We should be in unity
I know that I could win your trust
And all I need from you is just
Another opportunity

Raiatea Sweet And Lovely (Larry W. Jones 12/09/2005) (song#3973)

Raiatea, sweet and lovely
As she strolls down by the bay
Raiatea, sweet and lovely
Sweeter than tuberoses in May

Raiatea is a dream
One that heaven surely sent my way
The songs she sings
Fills me with love both night and day

The skies in paradise
Are lovely reflected in her eyes
And it’s no surprise
That she has stolen my heart away

Raiatea, sweet and lovely
In my arms she feels so heavenly
My heart longs for her so hauntingly
My dreams are always taunting me
For Raiatea, sweet and lovely island girl

Raiatea is a dream
One that heaven surely sent my way
The songs she sings
Fills me with love both night and day

Raiatea, sweet and lovely
In my arms she feels so heavenly
My heart longs for her so hauntingly
My dreams are always taunting me
For Raiatea, sweet and lovely island girl

Tropical Moon Mem’ries (Larry W. Jones 12/12/2005) (song#3974)

When the tropical moon shines over the island
Each golden beam brings a mem’ry of you
As again we stroll together hand in hand
By those Manoa Valley island roses we knew

Now I face each gloomy sad day in my room
But I’m glad when night brings a full moon
When the tropical moon shines over the island
And my mem’ries soon drift far away to you

The tropical moon was there when we found each other
There wasn’t a sound near as sweet as your Aloha
How soon a new love was born, then smothered
Your Aloha ‘oe goodbye was the last dream I saw

When the tropical moon shines over the island
Each golden beam brings a mem’ry of you
As again we stroll together hand in hand
By those Manoa Valley island roses we knew

Now I face each gloomy sad day in my room
But I’m glad when night brings a full moon
When the tropical moon shines over the island
And my mem’ries soon drift far away to you

My One And Only One (Larry W. Jones 12/12/2005) (song#3975)

You’re my one and only one
Here under this warm tropic sun
You’re my one and only one
And you will be ’til time is done

You’re my one and only dream
The only one who owns my heart
You’re my idea of a heavenly scheme
That only a love island could start

You’re my one and only one
In everything and every deed
You’re every island song I sing
You’re everything I’ll ever need

You’re my moon and all my stars
My warmth just as the sun
In reality, what you really are
You’re my one and only one

You’re my one and only dream
The only one who owns my heart
You’re my idea of a heavenly scheme
That only a love island could start

You’re my moon and all my stars
My warmth just as the sun
In reality, what you really are
You’re my one and only one

Alone No More (Larry W. Jones 12/12/2005) (song#3976)

Alone no more, but away from the crowd
On a moonlit shore where love’s allowed
You and I will stroll these shores forever
Because our love is strong
And we’re alone no more

Alone no more, we’ll face the rain
And any chore won’t be in vain
You and I will stroll these shores together
We’ll not fear the weather
Since we’re alone no more

Somewhere out beyond the reef
The sea is vast and very deep
And so is this love that I adore
Tradewinds have blown a love to keep
Because we’re alone no more

Alone no more, we’ll face the rain
And any chore won’t be in vain
You and I will stroll these shores together
We’ll not fear the weather
Since we’re alone no more

Somewhere out beyond the reef
The sea is vast and very deep
And so is this love that I adore
Tradewinds have blown a love to keep
Because we’re alone no more

My Song From Isles Of Love (Larry W. Jones 12/12/2005) (song#3977)

While the breeze in palms are playing
My heart is pleased in saying
Aloha au ia ‘oe
My song from isles of love
That simply says that I love you

This tropic night has taught me
True love is what you brought me
Aloha au ia ‘oe
My song from isles of love

Only one song thrills my heart
My song from isles of love
One kiss alone keeps us together when apart
One kiss and smile I’m thinking of

Some songs show tender passion
And I know one of that fashion
Aloha au ia ‘oe
My song from isles of love
That simply says that I love you

Aloha au ia ‘oe
My song from isles of love
That simply says that I love you

When Twilight Falls (Larry W. Jones 12/12/2005) (song#3978)

When twilight falls
And breezes whisper that another day is ending
The islands call
That’s when homeward my thoughts go wending

When twilight falls
That’s when my heart begins its burning
I would give my all
If once more I could be returning home

When mountains conceal
Once more the setting of the sun
The velvet night reveals
The peeping stars when day is done

A blanket covers all
And my thoughts race across the briny foam
The islands call
And chase my dreams back to my island home

When twilight falls
That’s when my heart begins its burning
I would give my all
If once more I could be returning home

Lullaby Of Palm Trees (Larry W. Jones 12/12/2005) (song#3979)

The rustling of palm trees
Used to be my nightly lullaby
On isles in southern seas
When I was just a lad so high

Now that I have up and grown
I regret that I have up and gone
So, cradle me on those southern isles
Neath tropic skies with a million eyes
Oh, sing me to sleep with that sleepy
Lullaby of palm trees

Let me dream a dream or two
Under skies of a heavenly velvet hue
Oh, sing me to sleep with that sleepy
Lullaby of palm trees

Life is breezing along
Listen to the song on the breeze
It won’t be before long
I’ll hear it singing through palm trees
That island melody crooning the shore
Is familiar to me
Because I’ve heard that lullaby before

So, cradle me on those southern isles
Neath tropic skies with a million eyes
Oh, sing me to sleep with that sleepy
Lullaby of palm trees

Oh, sing me to sleep with that sleepy
Lullaby of palm trees

Ua Here Vau Ia Oe (Larry W. Jones 12/12/2005) (song#3980)

Like the pound, pound, pound of the island drums
When twilight shadows are falling
Like the tease, tease, tease of the tropic breeze
As Tahitian islands are calling
Like the show, show, show of the bright rainbow
When the setting sun shines through
That’s the way something inside me says
Ua here vau ia oe, I love you, you, you

Every night and every day
You are the only one
The tropic moon tells the stars
You’re my only one under the sun
Whether I’m with you or in Siam
Darling, no matter where I am
I dream of only you, you, you

Every night and every day, I know it’s so
My heart longs for you no matter where I go
In the wave’s crashing boom
In the quiet of my lonely room
I dream of only you, you, you

Like the pound, pound, pound of the island drums
When twilight shadows are falling
Like the tease, tease, tease of the tropic breeze
As Tahitian islands are calling
Like the show, show, show of the bright rainbow
When the setting sun shines through
That’s the way something inside me says
Ua here vau ia oe, I love you, you, you

Heartache Stay Away (Larry W. Jones 12/12/2005) (song#3981)

Heartache, stay away from my shore

Heartache, just keep goin’ on your way
Don’t you come a-blowin’ my way
Heartache, stay away from my shore

I’ve got a little thatched roof cottage
You don’t need to goof around my cottage
Heartache, stay away from my shore

Don’t come around here thinking to retire
Even though you know I’m all alone
Be gone from my island and my tiki fire
Stay away from everything I own

I ain’t makin’ room for you to start
Even though the moon is shining on my door
So, don’t you go breakin’ my heart
Heartache, stay away from my shore

Don’t come around here thinking to retire
Even though you know I’m all alone
Be gone from my island and my tiki fire
Stay away from everything I own

I ain’t makin’ room for you to start
Even though the moon is shining on my door
So, don’t you go breakin’ my heart
Heartache, stay away from my shore

I’ll Find You Again (Larry W. Jones 12/12/2005) (song#3982)

I’m all alone and the days are long
Dreams appear, but you’re not near
And when they play an island song
I wonder if you hear, my dear

One of these days I’ll find you
Rays of moonlight will be behind you
Just as in this dream I’m dreaming
And when you stroll toward me
Love will be reflected in your smile
For more than just a little while
On that shore, you and I will stand
We’ll be hand in hand
For eternity and forever, I’ll leave you, never
And forever my love for you redeeming
Dreams will come true
If you say you love me too
One of these days I’ll find you again

I remember all the fun times we had
But time has taken it’s toll and I’m sad
That dream went so fleet
But somewhere we’ll meet
Life can’t be complete without you

One of these days I’ll find you
Rays of moonlight will be behind you
Just as in this dream I’m dreaming
And when you stroll toward me
Love will be reflected in your smile
For more than just a little while
On that shore, you and I will stand
We’ll be hand in hand
For eternity and forever, I’ll leave you, never
And forever my love for you redeeming
Dreams will come true
If you say you love me too
One of these days I’ll find you again

By Waimea Waterfall (Larry W. Jones 12/13/2005) (song#3983)

I like simple island things
So, I’m dreaming now of getting
Love in a tropical setting
And one of those simple island things
Is Kamananui stream
Where I can go to dream
And wait for you

By Waimea waterfall
Beneath skies of heavenly blue
I wait, dreaming of you

So, don’t be late
I’m waiting where cascading waters play
A bird of paradise is calling too
Hear that island melody
Kamananui stream sings a melody
By Waimea waterfall for me and you

So, don’t be late
I’m waiting where cascading waters play
A bird of paradise is calling too
Hear that island melody
Kamananui stream sings a melody
By Waimea waterfall for me and you

Come Darkness On The Island (Larry W. Jones 12/13/2005) (song#3984)

Come darkness on the island
My heart’s free from worry, feelin’ light
Come darkness on the island
I linger in the magic of the night

Fields of sugar cane all ’round me
Tradewinds singin’ sweet and low
I’m so happy love has found me
Here where soothing tiki fires glow

Relaxing on the island
Steel guitars playing songs of love
Laughter on the island
Folks here all understand
True love is not a dream that you dream of

Fields of sugar cane all ’round me
Tradewinds singin’ sweet and low
I’m so happy love has found me
Here where soothing tiki fires glow

Come darkness on the island
The stars of heaven are in sight
Come darkness on the island
I linger in the magic of the night

Silhouettes Against The Moon (Larry W. Jones 12/13/2005) (song#3985)

On the island, I will sing love songs to you
I will dream a dream that I will bring to you
I will take you in my arms if you will cling to me
I will linger by the sea for awhile
Let me live my dream upon the isle

On the island, I will be a king for you
If you will let me mean everything to you
Love’s old sweet song we’ll both renew
On the island when I come to stroll with you

The writing’s on the wall
I heard the islands call
A flower for your hair
My love is one of care
Silhouettes against the moon
Dancing in the month of June
I’ll be coming soon
And I will look for you

On the island, I will be a king for you
If you will let me mean everything to you
Love’s old sweet song we’ll both renew
On the island when I come to stroll with you

Silhouettes against the moon
Dancing in the month of June
I’ll be coming soon
And I will look for you

Steaming To Bora Bora (Larry W. Jones 12/13/2005) (song#3986)

Old Bora Bora
That’s Bora Bora with the tropic flora
Where music, romance and love all rhyme

Hey, cap’n, you can make it happen
Steam on down to Bora Bora
And try to make up some time

I know you’ll love it
When that tropic moon’s above it
Set in a sea of heavenly blue

Send a message to old Bora Bora
Say Ia Orana and hello
So they’ll know to wait at the dock there
Cause we’re steaming there
Old Bora Bora, where dreams come true
We’re steaming and singing our way to you

I know you’ll love it
When that tropic moon’s above it
Set in a sea of heavenly blue

Send a message to old Bora Bora
Say Ia Orana and hello
So they’ll know to wait at the dock there
Cause we’re steaming there
Old Bora Bora, where dreams come true
We’re steaming and singing our way to you

Old Water Wheel Dreams (Larry W. Jones 12/13/2005) (song#3987)

Dusty and almost all of it rotten
Over where the islands call
The old sugar mill’s days almost forgotten
Still I love one part most of all

There’s an old water wheel at the old sugar mill
Spinning dreams where tradewinds blow
Dreams that are in my mind and heart still
Of a young island maiden that I loved so

In dreams I still see her and my heart is thrilled
Softly singing love songs I used to know
There’s an old water wheel at the old sugar mill
Spinning dreams of island times long ago

Oh, if only I could return to my childhood
To that old water wheel at the old sugar mill
I’d see where a barefoot island boy stood
For that’s where my fond memories steal

There’s an old water wheel at the old sugar mill
Spinning dreams where tradewinds blow
Dreams that are in my mind and heart still
Of a young island maiden that I loved so

In dreams I still see her and my heart is thrilled
Softly singing love songs I used to know
There’s an old water wheel at the old sugar mill
Spinning dreams of island times long ago

Surf And Paddle (Larry W. Jones 12/14/2005) (song#3988)

Take me back to my surf and paddle
Let me see that golden shore
Let me ride those waves once more

Give me my surf and my paddle
Let me stroll on the island merry
Full of cheer with nothing vex
See that outrigger bend and flex
Give me my surf and my paddle

Got a wishin’ to be where tradewinds blow free
Hummin’ to a pretty island tune
There’s a wahine in Waikiki
She’s still waitin’ by the sea
Strollin’ beneath that tropic moon

Give me my surf and my paddle
Let me stroll on the island merry
Full of cheer with nothing vex
See that outrigger bend and flex
Give me my surf and my paddle

So, take me back to my surf and paddle
That island where flowers adorn
On that beach where I was born
Give me my surf and my paddle

Easy To Remember (Larry W. Jones 12/14/2005) (song#3989)

Your sweet smile
And the look that you gave me
Your Aloha on the day that we met
When islands call
Is easy to remember instead of forget

I still hear the tradewinds whisper
Aloha au ia ‘oe, I love you
Those words of yours are over, and yet
When islands call
Is easy to remember instead of forget

And when I dream
I still feel my hands caress you
Dancing and holding you tight
But after I dream
I get that lonesome feeling
That my mind can’t fight

I still hear the tradewinds whisper
Aloha au ia ‘oe, I love you
Those words of yours are over, and yet
When islands call
Is easy to remember instead of forget

Each and every minute
The clearest thing of all
Is the cloudy feeling that I get
When islands call
Is easy to remember instead of forget

Tiki Glow (Larry W. Jones 12/14/2005) (song#3990)

The tropic stars all brighter shine
Since you said that you’d be mine
And the man in the moon above
Wishes us the best of island love

Tiki glow
The flame of love we found
Tiki glow
Proclaims that love is all around

Islands long ago were formed with fountains of fire
You have filled my soul with mountains of desire

Tiki glow
In my heart will forever dance
Where tradewinds blow
Burns the flame of our romance
And I know, like the tiki glow
Love’s embers will forever burn the same

Tiki glow
The flame of love we found
Tiki glow
Proclaims that love is all around

Tiki glow
In my heart will forever dance
Where tradewinds blow
Burns the flame of our romance
And I know, like the tiki glow
Love’s embers will forever burn the same

A Thousand Island Love Songs (Larry W. Jones 12/14/2005) (song#3991)

If I wrote you a thousand island love songs
The collection would still be too few
I’d need a thousand island singers
To explain how Aloha means I love you

If I had a thousand hearts to give you
From the bottom of each I’d write
A thousand island love songs
Then I’d sing each love song to you at night

If I had a thousand lives to live
I’d live them all on an island with you
And if I had a thousand love songs to give
I’d make them last so you could sing them too

If I had a thousand hearts to give you
From the bottom of each I’d write
A thousand island love songs
Then I’d sing each love song to you at night

If I had a thousand lives to live
I’d live them all on an island with you
And if I had a thousand love songs to give
I’d make them last so you could sing them too

Things They Say About Waikiki (Larry W. Jones 12/14/2005) (song#3992)

Now tell me, OK, is it true what they say
About that place they call Waikiki
Does the tropic sun always shine
Like I’ve heard them say, all the time

Do the sweet tuberoses bloom
Everywhere along the shore
And at the luau do the eat the poi
Til they can’t enjoy it any more

All those things they say about Waikiki
Seems like a dream, you must agree
Is there laughter and is there love
In every song sung under stars above

If it’s all true, all the things I hear
Dear, then tell me true
What are we doing here, I ask of you

Do the sweet tuberoses bloom
Everywhere along the shore
And at the luau do the eat the poi
Til they can’t enjoy it any more

All those things they say about Waikiki
Seems like a dream, you must agree
Is there laughter and is there love
In every song sung under stars above

If it’s all true, all the things I hear
Dear, then tell me true
What are we doing here, I ask of you

Melody Of The Isles (Larry W. Jones 12/14/2005) (song#3993)

Love seems to be everywhere
You can hear its music a million miles
From across the oceans over there
Comes a melody of the isles

Over the ocean there flies
A bird, a bird of paradise
His song has a certain style
Certainly a melody of the isles

And there’s the tradewind whis’pring
Its unending song of love
To someone’s lady love
A song that’s sure to please
On the tradewind breeze

Love seems to be everywhere
You can hear its music a million miles
From across the oceans over there
Comes a melody of the isles

Love seems to be everywhere
You can hear its music a million miles
From across the oceans over there
Comes a melody of the isles

When I Stroll Along With You (Larry W. Jones 12/14/2005) (song#3994)

Every sandy beach I stroll on
Becomes a street of desire
When I stroll along with you
I see a brand new rainbow
In shades of brightest fire
When I stroll along with you

If I lost you, my heart would be broken
Like the waves upon the reef
The cost would be more than ever spoken
For I would die from all my grief

But now, I see flowers all around
Under skies of brightest blue
Paradise is what I’ve found
When I stroll along with you

Tradewinds sing their love songs
And I find myself humming too
Island drums go drumming along
When I stroll along with you

Please let me make this observation
I’m in love with all creation
When I stroll along with you
When I stroll along with you
When I stroll along with you

Lovely Island Lady (Larry W. Jones 12/14/2005) (song#3995)

The night and you are young
Lovely island lady
Here among the shelt’ring palms
Lovely island lady

The tropical scene is already set
The tradewinds whisper about it
My heart is a little unsteady yet
But it so wants to shout about it

Lovely island lady, you’re kissable
And the evening breezes are cool
Lovely island lady, if it’s permissable
Teach me what I didn’t learn at school

The night and you are young
Lovely island lady

The moon is just rising in the sky
And the stars all look so brand new
Lovely island lady from paradise
Tonight I’m newly in love with you

Lovely island lady from paradise
Tonight I’m newly in love with you

You And A Little Canoe (Larry W. Jones 12/14/2005) (song#3996)

You and a little canoe in the moonlight
It sounds so heavenly
You and a little outrigger canoe for two
Paddling over the blue
A soft tradewind breeze, a night in June
A gentle squeeze, an island tune
And dreams would come true

This is our chance to just sail away
Of course it must be on Moonlight Bay
Underneath tropic stars that shine
Romance is so sweet
And to advance it complete
Your lips would meet mine
In Hawaii blue, make my dreams come true
In the moonlight
With you and a little canoe

This is our chance to just sail away
Of course it must be on Moonlight Bay
Underneath tropic stars that shine
Romance is so sweet
And to advance it complete
Your lips would meet mine
In Hawaii blue, make my dreams come true
In the moonlight
With you and a little canoe

Serenade On The Island (Larry W. Jones 12/14/2005) (song#3997)

A serenade on the island
At a dusky maiden’s window
I remember that sweet serenade
As the tradewinds discreetly played
On that isle so long ago

A big yellow moon was in the sky
As I sang beside the tuberoses
I thought I would die
She just wanted to be friends
I strolled away with a sigh
And so my love story ends

Oh, but my story the tradewind keeps bringing
And an inventory of my heart
Reveals that my serenade it keeps singing
A serenade on the island
Haunts me and takes me back in time
And when I hear that glad refrain
My broken heart is sad again
For that lost island love of mine

A serenade on the island
Haunts me and takes me back in time
And when I hear that glad refrain
My broken heart is sad again
For that lost island love of mine

A Grin And A Smile (Larry W. Jones 12/14/2005) (song#3998)

They said my daddy had a grin and a smile
As his new bride stood by his side
In that little cottage on the isle

And when a baby (that’s me) filled their nest
There was no maybe that they felt blessed
In that little cottage on the isle

Well, I grew up and played slack key guitar
In all the hotels down Honolulu way
And one day I saw a burning, flaming star
When a lovely girl came to hear me play

Now once again those Maui chimes will ring
And when you place your little hand in mine
I’ll slip on your finger a diamond wedding ring
And my face will wear a grin and a smile
In that little cottage on the isle

They said my daddy had a grin and a smile
As his new bride stood by his side
In that little cottage on the isle

Now once again those Maui chimes will ring
And when you place your little hand in mine
I’ll slip on your finger a diamond wedding ring
And my face will wear a grin and a smile
In that little cottage on the isle

Please Return To Me (Larry W. Jones 12/15/2005) (song#3999)

It sounds like a melancholy echo
From somewhere across the blue
It’s the call of the island, I know
And once again I go dreaming of you

At night I know the same moonlight
Still shines upon that island shore
It’s the call of the island, alright
That says maybe I’ll see you once more

I’m standing here alone with my dreams
Of love’s tiki fire we said would never die
And in every ember I find, it seems
Something I remember of paradise

Then I hear the tradewind whisper
And a new spark from that tiki fire I see
It’s the call of the island, from her
Saying please, please return to me

Then I hear the tradewind whisper
And a new spark from that tiki fire I see
It’s the call of the island, from her
Saying please, please return to me

He Moku Mele Hapa Haole (Larry W. Jones 12/15/2005) (song#4000)

Well, this is the end my friend
I’ve got no more island songs to write
I’ve penned all the topics from the tropics
That are sung beneath the tiki lights

We’ve been to lots of luaus
Tasted kalua, fish and poi
I know that in there somehow
You’ll find a song to bring you joy

And I hope you found a dream or two
Written somewhere in a song or two
For in some tropic twilight night
You might find a dream come true

We have sung about a love so true
And some broken hearted melodies
But one thing I will assure to you
You’ll find true love across the seas

Well, this is the end my friend
But wait, pardon me for stalling
I think I just heard the islands calling
But at least for this one tropic night
I’ve got no more island songs to write

Ha’ina ia mai ka puana la
This is the end of my mele
He moku mele hapa haole
Aloha ‘oe, Aloha ‘oe
